Hi, Looks like you got interview date as soon as consulate received it. Did you ever get "No slots available" thing when booking appointment?
Prateek G on 2023-09-18 said:
Yes. It was like that for a few days. I had a lot of problems booking a slot.
Just as a summary, just keep checking. They open slots in a rolling window manner. Every few days a few slots are opened. First come first serve. There’s nothing you’ll be able to do other than polling the website. You’re allowed about 12 attempts to check a day before it locks you out until the next day. I recommend checking every 3-4 hrs.

Our application is "in ready" status. Did the mumbai embassey send you an email about the interview? I thought the interview was assigned by the embassey, is that not the case? Thank you for any advice.

Hi! Just got notified about your status.
Congrats on the approval!!
However, what happened with the initial administrative review? Could you share?

Yes please.. Share what happened in administrative review, and how you got that resolved?

Did the mumbai embassey send you an email about the interview?low: NO
You will not get anything. You will have to go the new ustraveldocs.com and create account and book interview yourself. I waited for a week after ready status before realizing this. The welcome letter process has changed. It is very unclear.
The embassy assignment is based on your case number. if your case number starts with BMB it's Bombay.
Email the NVC using the public inquiry form and you will get the following information:
NVC case number
Beneficiary ID
Invoice ID
You will need the above to book your Biometrics and interview.
Good luck

@Pc09 and @Fellaamazing:
We did not anticipate how much proof is actually required at the interview. We thought since USCIS has approved the application, Embassy is just going to ask basic questions.... Wrong!
The embassy basically asked for more proof of relationship which we were not prepared for.
Note: Do not accompany your beneficiary. They do not allow the petitioner to enter anywhere.... Neither the biometrics... nor the interview. There is no place to sit and I was standing outside for more than 5 hours.
They sent us back with a letter of refusal after the interview. It was so disheartening.
We came back and compiled over a 100 pages of evidence that we are engaged. Sent it back to them via the application center in Delhi and then waited for the approval. They finally sent us a letter requesting to send the passport for stamping.
Our application went from Ready --> Refused --> Application Received (after sending the passport) --> Approved --> Issued.
Now waiting for the passport to arrive in the mail since we are currently in Delhi.
It is a very tedious process.

Thanks for this info. Sorry that you guys had to go at it again but glad it is done now. Congrats again and wishing u well for future.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
