Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 29, 2024
Embassy Review : Beneficiary had appointment at 7:30am and was 3rd person in line. Upon entering, the beneficiary was the first to be called to the office of the male interviewer. He asked 6 questions: 1. How did you meet your wife? 2. When did you meet your wife? 3. What does your wife do? 4. Do you have police report on you recently? 5. What are your plans in USA? 6. Show me the divorce papers, why did she get divorced?

Then, approval in less than 5 minutes. That was it!
Rating : Very Good

Aramex is not reliable with updating passport tracks: Good news: After once week, we went by ARAMEX on a hunch. Lo and Behold, it is THERE. What happened: Interview on 29th of Nov. Monday December 2nd, it said "ISSUED" So we called Aramex. They said, "NOT HERE" We sent email daily to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com for updates. Immediately response was, "Your passport is still with post". Our intuition became so strong. By December 5th, I told him to GO there anyway and check. Husband travels from Ourazazate to Casablanca early that morning on the 6th of December. As he was outside of Aramex, he called the number. They all said same thing, "Not here yet".... But when he walked in the door and showed his ID, they promptly found his passport with ir-1 visa and gave it to him without any apologies or hassles. Their reply was, "We get so many everyday, it's hard to track all of them". Bottom line, he is COMING !

Thank you for been as detailed as you can . I have lost faith in this our government system . I calculated all the fees its is $1290 in total ?and then they say they are busy. It was good to see you submitted yours and months after the marriage I had a lawyer tell me too soon it’s not good . Which I think is absurd . You were right to go to aramex . When my husband previously applied for a visa I told him to just go . And of course no apologies from them they gave him the passport . Congratulations . Hubby is Moroccan but he lives out of the country in the GCC. Although I noticed everyone NVC date is different . I saw one approval where is was quick from the approval date and some not . What causes that ?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
