Jose/Dulce: My Mexican spouse and I have a similar timeline to yours. We are a little behind you. I wondered if you could share with me, when did NVC send you notification that you were Documentarily Qualified (DQ)? I'm wondering how long you waited to be informed of your interview. I see you have an interview scheduled for April of 2025. Congratulations.

Hey Josh! So NVC had send me the notification about 2 weeks after I submitted all of my documents. I submitted on 2/8/24 and got an email alerting me I was DQ’d on 2/21/24. So right now it looks like interview dates are about 12-13 months from the DQ date and the interviews are about 30-45 days out from the notice email saying you have an interview. In our case we were notified via email on 2/28/25 that we have the interview on 4/4/25. Thank you and best of luck to you in your process.

Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it. I wish you and your loved one the best as you prepare for the interview.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
