Interview Experience in Mumbai
Appointment Time: 7:30 A.M.
I arrived at the embassy at 7:00 A.M. We were asked to line up opposite the embassy building. At 7:30 A.M., the staff called us to form a line outside. They checked the sticker on the passport, obtained during the biometrics process, and allowed me to enter.
Inside, a security check was conducted before directing me to another building where I proceeded to counter 1. The lady at counter 1 asked who was calling me, and I informed her that it was my fiancé. She confirmed if it was for the K-1 visa. Subsequently, she provided me with a token and instructed me to wait for my token number to be called.
Around 9:15 A.M., I heard my token number being announced and went to the designated counter. The Indian officer at the counter asked me once again who was calling me, and I reiterated that it was my fiancé. He then requested the following documents from me:
1. Passport (current)
2. DS-160 stamped from biometrics
3. Medical Sealed envelope
4. PCC
5. Birth certificate photocopy
6. Form I-134
7. W2 2022
8. Tax Returns 2022
9. 2 US photos with white background
After thoroughly verifying the documents against the name on my passport, the officer handed me a pamphlet and instructed me to take a seat while waiting for my token number to be called again.
I waited for approximately 1.5 hours until my name was called. The American officer handling my case immediately began asking me a series of questions:
1. Who is calling you, and what is their name?
2. When did you first meet?
3. How were you introduced to each other?
4. Are you both from the same state?
5. Does your fiancé live alone?
6. Where does your fiancé currently reside?
7. What is your fiancé's profession?
8. Are you currently employed, and if so, what is your occupation?
9. When did you last see your fiancé?
10. Is your fiancé currently in India with you?
11. Did you have an engagement ceremony? Do you have photos? (I had a spiral-bound album with engagement photos, which I presented. The officer looked through the album, including other photos.)
12. After reviewing the album, have you visited the US?
13. What was the longest duration of your stay in the US?
14. Have you made any wedding plans?
Upon concluding the questions, the officer said the golden words, "Your visa is approved." He then reviewed my application once more and noted that I had chosen the delivery option. He informed me that I should expect my passport to arrive within a week. The entire interview process concluded at 11:15 A.M. |

Did you ever receive the packet 4? I have the same timeline as you and still waiting on packet 4.
Hey, I did get packet 4, but after I completed both biometrics and medical. I have updated the details just above your comment.
How much time it took to get PCC and did you get it from regional Passport office?
It took me 5 weeks. 4 weeks from the time I completed my appointment at the regional passport office.

@JR2020, Did you send a query to support ustraveldocs to get packet 4 instructions for medical? Mumbai releclinic is not scheduling medical without packet 4 instructions. Did your receive it on email or mail at your address. How many days did it took for the packet 4 instructions? Thanks a lot for your response!
