Everything went pretty smoothly. I didn't have to wait longer than other people in line. I was asked just several questions, told that I need to get married within 3 months (as if I didn't kbow that ;-), and off I went! |

The whole process was quicker than I expected. The only disappointment was the delay with getting the physical GC (due to some remodeling of the facilities) but it finally arrived (in one month and 9 days from the interview date). The most important that has the date of actual approval on it. Woohoo!!! |

It was faster than I had expected taking into consideration that I got my fingerprints taken only couple of days before EAD was approved. Hopefully there will be more of such nice surprises :-) |

Embassy Review : |
The interview was much easier than I expected. I brought a bunch of papers to the embassy: the album with our pictures, the print out of all our phone conversations (for almost a year, except for our vacations together, he called me every day), a pile of our e-mails and even my correspondance with his Mom, the copy of the wjole petition package that I'd got from my fiance, all his financial papers... They only took Affidavit of support, taxes for 2007 plus W2, and the letter from employer. The consule only asked me three questions:
-Where and how did you meet?
- What is you fiance's job?
- When did he come to Russia? (here, by my own initiative, I told him in more details about David's first trip to my hometown).
So, as you can see, the questions were quite ordinary and simple
And then I heard: "Everything looks fine, you'll get you visa in a week or less" |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
