my interview experience was documented here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129561&st=0&p=1868260entry1868260
over all it was a pleasant experience, no harassment, no mean people. I guess, it is also in the way you carry yourself, if you project an image of confidence then they will not be out to intimidate you... and of course, smile helps a lot.. not a smile that stops in your lips but a smile that is also reflected in your eyes and in your tone of voice.
Thank you so much for this site, this has been a big part of our K1/K2 experience and I am sure this will still be a big part of our POE and then AOS experience later on.
God bless you all always.

Embassy Review : |
Arrived safe and sound after the long flight from Manila to Nagoya to Detroit. Had to lined up in the visitors line coz the Filipina lady assisting new arrivals insisted that fiancee visa holders and even new immigrants are still considered visitors... Lo and behold we were asked to transfer to another line after a few minutes of lining up. The immigration officer looked at our papers for awhile then asked a few questions then he told me to go to the special immigration section (the blue line- 3rd time lining up) where a few new immigrants were already lined up. When it was our turn, the immigration officer asked me why we were sent there and I told him the other officer told me it was for the re-verification of our packets. The new immigration officer browsed through our papers and then told me to go to a lady officer who in turn gave me a number to call so my kids could get new skin test and xray. After that she let us go and wished us well.
All in all, our travel had been ok, no hassles and we met a few good samaritans who helped us with our carry ons and also met a few filipinos who was so game to go with us and ride the detroit aiport tram (a small train inside the aiport that travels from one end to the other) just for fun innocent.gif .. I felt God has been holding us in His protective hands every step of the way. yes.gif |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
