Louis arrived to the Embassy at 6:15am and at this time there were 3 other people already there. The Embassy opened at 7am and the there was a long line. They asked him to wait and let the people in for greencards 1st. Louis went in at 8:30am for 9am appointment..security check...take # and went to next building. Went to counter and submitted medical records. Waited for name called .. only minutes later. Asked for passport, ID. Then sit again...few minutes again..another window, "main interview" gave up paperwork, fingerprints. Asked if been to US, married, kids? Asked who I was to him. Asked if we had met each others family and how we got to know each other ** I feel like she asked these questions because the letter I wrote explaining how we met and what kinds of things we did together and the fact that he met my mom and aunt and I met almost all of his family we detailed *** then said application looks good, congrats and do you have any questions. 3 hours total from the time he got in until he walked out the door. Louis said everyone in the Embassy was friendly and helpful.

Embassy Review : |
Louis flew from UVF (St Lucia) into CLT around 8pm Saturday evening. He had no checked luggage so went straight to immigration. There were only about 5 people that had to go through with visas (visitor visas). He got through the whole process in about 20 minutes. IO took a look at passport and asked him to wait. Only a couple minutes. He asked Louis a couple questions... Who is in Maine, Who is Catherine, When will you get married... then took his envelope into another room came back in a few minutes and Louis was on his way.
Louis said everyone was very helpful and kind. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
