Medical was booked for 4th October which left plenty of time for the Embassy to receive it and I had no issues with that. |

Embassy Review : |
Had interview booked for 1030, the entrance is super easy to find, went up to the stall that was outside at around 10am after sitting in Starbucks beforehand which is a short walk from the embassy.
The outside of the embassy was pretty empty, I'm not sure if that's the norm or not. At the stall outside I was asked for Passport and DS160 and then told to continue into security.
Going through security is easier than an airport just make sure you adhere to their guidelines on what you can and can't bring. I only had a bag with documents and normal, phone, keys, headphones wallet.
Once past security it was just a walk following the signs, still no queue, up to the desk where I got given a number and told to go to the first floor and go left then left. The ticket on my DS160 had the number and which window to sit by, this was away from the large amount of people on the same floor, and there was only a handful of people.
First window was simple, fingerprints done, handed the documents that they wanted, DS160, passport, passport photos, police certificate, birth certificate, i134 +docs, fiancée's divorce documents. I didn't need an additional letter of intent as the NOA2 was still in date.
I was then told to sit and wait to be called for the interview, after a short wait I went to another window 2 windows along from the first one.
Here I was asked to confirm i was telling the truth, do fingerprints, confirm my name and DOB and my fiancée's name, also to confirm that this was my first marriage and my fiancée's second.
I was then asked questions:
Where does your fiancée live?
How did you first meet and when?
When did you first meet in person?
Number of meetings since/last visit?
How many children my fiancée has and had I met them?
I was told it was approved and it would be processed in 1-2 weeks and the courier would then contact about delivery/collection. (this is the normal quoted timeframe, it seems to be shorter in most cases)
Was handed back the police certificate, birth certificate and divorce decree.
Staff were super polite and friendly throughout and the process was a lot simpler and less worrying that it seems. |

Timeline Comments: 2Medical was on 4th October, this was all very straight forward, just a problem of a train strike on the day so it made it a much longer day and a lot more stressful dealing with getting into London via Coach.
Made sure to have as many vaccines done prior, although I missed the fact that you need a Tdp vaccine in the last 10 years as the USA require 10 year boosters, mine was just outside this and I missed it so ended up paying for it there as I'd rather have the vaccine requirements done for AOS instead of worrying about it once I arrive.
No issues with the Embassy receiving the medical before 20th October, these dates just happened to work okay for me due to notice period with work anyway, but not having to worry about how long it might take because of a medical referral in my opinion is much better mentally.
Interview Questions:
Where does your fiancée live?
How did you first meet and when?
When did you first meet in person?
Number of meetings since/last visit?
Who proposed to who?
How many children my fiancée has and had I met them?
It was all like you were just talking with someone you had just met about you and your partner really, no stress and friendly. Way less intense than any interview I've ever had for a job.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
