Hey, have you had an update for an interview yet or are you still waiting?

Hi! We're still waiting for a case number from the NVC. My partner was in the UK over Christmas and her mail is on hold until Tuesday. If nothing arrives then we will make an enquiry.

Thank you for replying! My fiance in the states received a notification in the post for approval and it said the NVC should finish processing ours within the next 3/4 weeks before sending to the Embassy in England. If we haven't heard anything in this time then to contact them. Did yours provide a similar timeframe?

Yeah that's the NOA2 form, right? We got ours in October. It says NVC processing takes 2-4 weeks and that we can make an enquiry after 30 days. I think that was the expectation prior to the pandemic though. If you look at the trends here (https://www.visajourney.com/times/k1-fiance-visa-historical/), it says that it is taking USCIS 43 days to get K1 petitions to the NVC, and 44 days for the NVC to process them. We tried calling them after 30 days but got an automated message saying that they are not taking calls due to the Covid backlog. For the time being, you have to fill out an online form to make enquiries, but they will only consider cases received (i.e., they won't respond if they haven't received your case from USCIS yet). This webpage (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html) states that the NVC is currently processing cases received on 03 November 2022. Based on the NOA2 date on your timeline, I think it's too early for you to make an enquiry. I will let you know once we hear back about my case to give you an idea of how long you will be waiting.

Hi! I am so happy to see you got your EAD SO FAST!! That makes me have some hopes haha. Hope mine works as fast as yours! May I ask if your AOS cases numbers are starting with IOE? I am not sure if that affects the speed of they processing, just wondering. THANK!!

Thanks! Yeah, we were not expecting it to come through so quickly! Our receipt number does start with IOE, whatever that means. All the best with your own AOS. Hopefully the EAD arrives as quickly as ours!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
