Embassy Review : |
Hello Fellow VJ'ers,
I just want to share my POE experience last Jan.18,2009.It was in Guam, and everything went so smooth.I fell inline to "non-US citizens, visitors lane" then there is a guy looks like filipino came to me and asked me if Im on K1 and I said yes and he asked for our passports bcoz Im travelling with my daughter then he told me to fell inline to "US Citizens lane" since my daughter is USC and I was happy bcoz the line for visitors lane were so long and I was so worried that I will miss our flight.
When I went to USC lane,it was my turn already. The officer asked for my brown envelope and my I-94 card,he opened the enveloped and took me a picture and had my fingerprint and told me to go to their office behind him and gave the papers from the envelope and my passport to the immigration officer. The officer called my name and asked me 3 questions.
1.What is the reason why Im going here in Florida? To marry my fiancee.
2.How long I known my fiancee? I told him 5 years.
3.Do I love my fiancee?I said,"Of course" and he laughed.
Told me to have a seat and wait for him to call my name.
Name called.Gave my passport with the I-94 attached and told me to get marry within 90 days and submit my AOS,AP and EAD and told me that I can't go out of USA yet without green card and Advance Parole. And he welcome me to USA and told me to hurry up to catch our flight.
Our flight was okay even it's so tiring. It was ok bcoz flight attendants are nice, good service, they treated me and my daughter nice and meal on the plane was so good too.Airports staffs are nice too and they helped me to carry my baggages for the customs checking.
Our flight was via Continental Airlines.
Manila to Guam
Guam to Honolulu
Honolulu to Houston
Houston to Tampa
Tampa to Tallahassee -> our final destination.
Finally,we are happy together and one family now. Thanks to all of you who helped us on our journey and hope it will continue.
We plan to get married on February 28 and I will post our court wedding pics as soon as I can.
God Bless us ALL!!!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
