Embassy Review : |
I arrived on time.
Firstly my name was called to the designated counter, it seems local staff asked for the required documents (birth cert, police cert, I134, petitioner's tax transcript, passport etc..)
Since I didn't have some documents they asked, he told me that I might probably have to send documents via Aramex (agent handling documents transfer)
And then I was told to wait till my name is called again.
After 15 mins of wait, It was pretty convenient and smooth being interviewed by the consular.
The consular asked
About ourselves
How did we meet?
When you are going to US?
When are we getting married?
Where does she stay?
What is her work?
Since our couple story was since twenty years ago with probably with some good proofs of relationship,
the Consular didn't ask me too much on evidence of the ongoing relationship.
Then she hand over the pamphlet to read it. I have already read it before so I know what it is.
So she asked how do you understand about it. I answered simply it's about protection rights to yourself when you are in US.
Then she told me that she has to refuse my visa with 221g due to "required documents". so I got the paper to submit the documents.
Questions were clear, instructions were clear.
Overall I felt, it was pretty smooth.
Singapore US Embassy works very well.
When we contact to them via email, they response promptly.
I will never forget about this experience. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
