Comments : Wife aced the test today (12/6) and they let her do the ceremony the same day. Must say I got chills up my spine when all the new citizens sang along to the Star Spangled banner and said the Pledge of Allegience in unison :D

N-400 interview date was originally in early August. Rescheduled b/c we were out of town on that date. New date was early October, USCIS on its own rescheduled that to 10-30-12, hurricane Sandy closure forced rescheduling to current interview date of 12-06-12. After helping the wife with her citizenship test I will never again confuse the Declaration signing date with the Constitution's! :)

Consulate Review: Moscow, Russia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 13, 2008
Embassy Review : Really, this visa was ultra simple to obtain. Since my wife and I were already married and had been living together a year plus, the interview questions were cake. The only mistake is I submitted an I 864 from a family member and only a letter stating why I hadn't filed taxes and hadn't earned enough to support her. Wasn't gonna fly. They told my wife at the interview that once I send tax returns and an 864 in my name, they'd stick the visa in her passport. Well, I send the 864, a w-2 from my p/t job from the last year when I was a student, and another statement about my not having returns, and, sure to their word, they sent out the visa the following day!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
