Would you let us know how the interview went?! We are on 10/11/22. Congratulations 🥳 and good luck!

The interview went well, and my fiancé's visa was approved! Should have his passport back in 2-3 weeks. He was there just under two hours, but the interview with the consulate officer was about 5 minutes. CO only asked to see the original bilingual birth certificate. He was asked two questions--when did we start dating and who a person who wrote a letter was (his employer). Super straightforward. The most stressful part of the whole experience was trying to schedule the medical exam (and get the results) in less than a week!

That's amazing! That's the best interview experience at Cairo I've read!

Do you know if they need specific paperwork from the army (other than the exemption he showed at the interview) to be able to fly out of the country?
M&HH on 2022-10-12 said:
My fiancé says that his passport has a line in Arabic that states that he's "not required"/exempt from the military (located under the profession section). If not, then he thinks the original exemption paperwork would be important to take when leaving.

Okay thank you!! He checked his passport copy he has and it doesn’t say this on it.. His passport is ready for pickup (super fast delivery from the embassy!). He says the paper he took to his interview was an exemption letter, but is going to make sure it is the right one!
Congratulations to you guys!! 🎉
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
