Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : August 18, 2023
Embassy Review : My interview was set for 7.30am and we were there at 7.15am. There was already a line of about 20 people.
A friendly staff member approached us and told us not to worry about our appointment time.

All together from getting in line, till leaving the consulate took a little over 2hrs.

We were allowed inside as a family, since we had to travel far and couldn't leave our small kids unoccupied. (3yrs old and 11 months old)

The packages/mail from consulate never got to us, so we had prepared everything in advance using this link:

https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:e8932235-a126-3da2-998d-239a9fc36704

There was just one additional form I had to fill in there regarding where I had lived since the age of 16.

The interview was quick and easy and very friendly.

Questions asked:
- how did you meet your fiancé?
- what is his job?
- are you both getting married the 2nd time?
- are these your both kids?
- since when did you consider yourself a couple?

In the end the officer said I'm approved and I'll get my passport within 1 week.
I did actually start tearing up and said thank you.

We stayed in the Best Western Inn close to the consulate. It was a 8min walk shortcut next to Aldi and an appartment area.

My medical results had already arrived. I had my medical done in Frankfurt on Monday, 14th at 8am and my interview was Thursday, 17th, 7.30am.

The CEAC status changed to approved in the afternoon of the interview.

What helped us was this forum all along and a shout out to helpful member Pia!

I used the doctolib app to get a sooner medical appointment. The medical in Hamburg was closed for 1 month due to summer holidays.

We are beyond grateful for this website!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
