( we met on a virtual game during pandemic ) 2 when we met in person? ( on Dec3 2020) 3 were I lived in the U.S? ( He gave my address ) 4 how old was are son? ( he’s gonna be 2 in august 13 ) 5 plans on marriage? ( yes, get married on my BDAY Oct 14) That was it, his appt was at 7, went in they checked are documents put them in order, went to the window gave documents, and it was a 4 and a half hour wait till they called us back with an answer APPROVED Hope it helps you if your in the process, BTW I am petitioner and I did go in with him to the interview, best wishes and good luck ??

Hey guys! Congrats on your approval!! I’m in the process too and I have a question. Did you provide translations of Spanish documents? If so which ones?

Hi thank you, and no, we actually wrote the second intent to marry but they didn’t want to see it, after you walk in there’s is someone checking the stuff to put it in order, and remove things that they won’t need or see, we had 3 pages in Spanish but no translations into English, if you and your fiancée understand and speak Spanish and English then leave things as is, but if neither do then traslation comes in, but to be honest they don’t check everything you take, but it’s better to have more evidence than non at all, it’s an easy process but stressful, after they got are packet we waited 4 and a half hours for an answer, all you really need to make sure that there is enough evidence of your relationshi, and there is enough income from petitioner or sponsor and that you have the taxes and w2 of the last year you did, but it’s better to keep in hand everything no matter if they don’t see it cuz they might ask for somethings and you can have it on hand, I hope this helps and best wishes hope you get approved as well good luck

Hi Heidi and Nck! Did you guys receive the packet of instructions from the embassy at all? Was it necessary? I already scheduled my appointment but haven’t received any packet whatsoever. Just wanted to make sure its okay if I don’t get it on time before my interview! Thank you!!

Hey Laura, yes we had the same issue, but no worries I received the instructions 3-4 days before the interview, and yes it’s not necessary BUT it’s best to have them, because they ask to put things in order, they just want things in order and especially that the petitioner or sponsor have enough evidence to support the beneficiary, trust me, if you have those things done you will be approved, just make sure you have bank statements the taxes good and more then it’s necessary you’ll be set, dnt worry, I keep praying for those who are in this situation because it’s hard, and I did it on my own, know that he’s here in the USA, I will do the I-130 on my own and I will help him do the I-485 and the work permit and travel docs, we don’t need to pay more on lawyers to be honest, I-129 on my own I can do the rest myself, you’ll save money, any more questions just message me okay I hope you’ll get approved and everything goes well

Thank you much! You don’t know how much this helps. We’re also doing everything ourselves and it’s very stressful. I’m glad you’re so helpful and supportive! It’s a difficult process and knowing we’re not alone in this makes it a bit easier. I’ll definitely let you know if we have more questions! Thank you so much again. Hope everything goes well for you too!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
