Comments : It took a week to get the visa so we had to find a place to stay as we were not expecting that. When we crossed the CBP agent advised there was a $6 cost for the stamp and also pressed us for a date of the wedding. He also asked for the packet given to her from the consulate. The agent at the consulate did not tell her it was required but luckily she brought it along.

Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 14, 2023
Embassy Review : First interview was to go over all the paperwork. Interviewer checked all documents and took what was needed. Second interview was supposed to be the next day but it was Mother's Day in Mexico and they were closed. The second interview went quickly, around 15 minutes, but the wait time was almost three hours long. Interviewer was curt but not rude. Asked lots of questions while looking at his screen. At the end of the interview, she was approved and given a green paper. She was advised the final permit would be available in a few days and they would send an email when it was ready. We hadn't been expecting that and had to find a hotel for a couple of days while waiting so make sure you factor that into your plans.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
