September 19 - Sent inquiry to NVC (using online inquiry form) to update email addresses.
September 19 - Sent email to nvc inquiry@state.gov asking for updates with our case.
September 22 - Sent an email to nvc research@state.gov whether our case had been received.
September 27 - nvc research @state.gov replied confirming that the case had been received "recently" and awaiting entry into their system.
October 10 - Received email from NVC (do_not_reply address) that the case is in transit to the Embassy and provided case number.
October 13 - Case went from 'In Transit' to 'Ready' on CEAC site in less than 48 hours.
October 14 - Filled out DS-160
October 18 - Made account to select courier service, pay MRV fee, and potentially see available dates for interview.
October 22 - Paid MRV fee, selected courier service (to pick up passport after interview), looked at available dates for POTENTIAL interview dates.
November 15 - Received email from Embassy with instructions to schedule interview, information about police report and medical exam.
Interview scheduled for next available date (December 6, 2022).
November 17 - Beneficiary attended Medical Exam, results will be available after 10 days and they will need to pick up the SEALED packet(s) to take with to the interview.
Cost: 1056 AED for Medical, 600 AED for vaccines
November 20 - Police report obtained, filed online and printed once ready.
Cost: 220 AED (Certificate)
Cost: 320 AED (Stamps from Police Dept., probably wasn't necessary but wanted to make sure everything was 100%)
November 28 - Medical Exam results picked up from Hospital
Beneficiary was given a yellow envelope to be taken to the interview.
December 6 - Interview (see my review of the Embassy for more information).
Result: REFUSED, beneficiary was given blue form 221g as she did not have an original Birth Certificate (only had a copy from when she was given one at birth).
Note: CEAC site showing 'Refused'
December 7 - Required document was obtained and sent via Empost along with Passport and a photo.
December 8 - Packet was received by Embassy.
December 11-20 - Started sending emails periodically from both our account emails asking for any updates...
Case was showing last updated on December 13, 14, 15 albeit still showing 'Refused' and then on December 21, it finally updated to 'Application Received'.
December 22 - Case showing 'Issued'. We are now awaiting the email from the courier so we can pick up the passport.
December 23 - Email was sent out with Empost Tracking Number, Beneficiary was able to pick up passport with visa stamped in it by the end of the business day.
In the package was also a yellow envelope to be accompanied at POE and given to Immigration Officer. |

Considering it was New Year's Eve, according to the beneficiary there was literally no one waiting in line and an Officer assisted as quickly as possible. Stamped passport and they were off to get the luggage.
Overall, very pleasing and hassle free. |
