Hello, was it easy to get an interview appointment? Or you booked it beforehand?

Hi, it was not the easiest of the things. We needed 3 appointments (my fiancée and her 2 children). I contacted them to say that my case's status was "ready" and I wanted to schedule an interview (all this via email). I also pointed out that the expiration date on my NOA2 paper was fast approaching. It was a Thursday and they said: we have 2 appointments available for Monday. I said, I need 3, they said, we will add one more. We have nothing open for the 2 months following that. So we jumped at the opportunity. It was a nightmare getting the medical stuff to the consulate because we did not have the results at the date of the interview.

It sounds very stressful, it seems like their booking is faster than expected. How many days before the interview can u do the medical because I need to book that too and I'm not sure if it's more than 7 days before or less than 7 days?

It depends on whether you are doing this alone, or have children and your ages. They made my now wife wait 7 days to give her the results of their medicals because of the age of one of her daughters. I have heard conflicting stories as to when the results are delivered, some people reported later the same day, other the next day in the afternoon. I would give yourself at least a week between the medical and the interview just in case. Email the consulate in Guayaquil about interview dates availability, this is their address: ivguayaquil@state.gov

Oh, I am the only one applying and they told me that the results were given the same day. One more question, How many days did the interview took place?, cause I've reading that some take up to 2 days

It is a 2 day process, this is what I received from them:
"Please note that the new interview process requires two steps, as indicated below:
In the first step, you need to attend the Consulate on your appointment date to deliver your documents.
In the second step, you must return to the Consulate the day after you have delivered your documents for your interview with the Consular Officer. The appointment time will be given to you on your first visit. Your stay in Guayaquil will be for at least two days.

Great! Thank you so much!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
