Comments : April 23 2024: Received an E-mail From NVC! Case forwarded to appropriate US Consulate in Mexico. Mail arrived several days later.
June 28th 2024: Received E-mail from the Dept. of State on behalf of the Consulate General of Ciudad Juarez containing Packet 3 in email format. Basically asking my fiancée to fill out form DS-160 which we already have and then wait 2 business days before registering and making the appointment at the Department of State Visa Appointment Service website.
July 2nd 2024: Fiancé registered at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-mx/iv and applied for K1 Visa. She was given the option to pay the $265 fee online which she did. Then she was able to choose the interview date at ASC. She chose the day before the Consular interview which was already included in Packet 3. At the end she got a confirmation with dates and times for both interviews. Next she needs to obtain her Criminal Record and Medical Exam.

Hello! I am currently waiting on packet #3, we got the email from the nvc saying that they were forwarding the approved petition to the embassy. I see that you guys already have the interview date, what month are you having your interview?

Hi Steph, if you enable "Advanced mode" on the upper right side of the time lines you can see more details were users sometimes can write inline comments. I have written some details there. I've received Packet 3 via email on June 28th, it included the interview date it which is Aug. 30th. I'm sure we'll also receive the regular mail packet in a few more days. It said for the foreign fiancée to go ahead and fill out DS-160 and print out the confirmation page. Then to go to the AIS page and register there, upon registration it will ask you to pay $260, I had my GF pay using my CC to expedite things. The she was able to schedule the ASC appointment right away. We chose Aug. 29th. And at the end she got a confirmation page included both appointments. It also reminded us to take out a Police report and do her medical checkup which I think she'll do in Mexico City now since she is relatively close and avoid the hassle of doing it in Ciudad Juarez. They give you 3 choices and 1 of those is in CDMX. The Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez is really behind, my case took about 9 weeks so I expect you to get an email form them around August 10th. Good luck.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
