Comments : Entry was super easy. Waited in line for quite a while as it was Christmas Eve but once we made it up there the officer asked for my passport, saw the visa and asked if I was immigrating today.
Then he stamped my visa and explained that my visa stamp will be valid as a green card for a year but I should receive my green card in the mail within a month.

Hi, First off, a big congratulations! I'm curious about how fast you got an interview scheduled. Did they expedite your case? We got a DQ back in June and are still waiting on a Frankfurt interview to be scheduled XD.

Thank you! We never filed for an expedite but we did get an email that our case got expedited. I do think everyone in line at the time got that same email. We got DQ on Sept. 15. and got the email to schedule the interview on Oct. 19. Big misconception that the embassy will schedule your interview, they actually send you an email asking to sign up for their portal, then you have to wait for them to approve (took me a few hours), then you'll get access to the calendar online and you get to schedule your own interview. The next appointment available is usually a month out but you're free to pick any date and time available. :) Make sure you didn't miss an the email!! Check spam folders too! Otherwise I'd suggest to contact the embassy directly!

Thank you so much. In that single paragraph I feel like I got more helpful info than on any NVC or embassy site combined! I really appreciate you taking the time. I'll double check my spam folders and see if there are any missing emails I can track down. Thanks again, and congrats on making it to the end of the visa process yourself. Wish you all the best.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
