Hello, we are pre filling our i864ez while waiting for our payments to process at NVC and we are not 100 percent sure what the best answer is for the immigrants mailing address. My spouse does not have a mailing address as there is not home mail delivery in her country(Uganda). I’m thinking our options are to use my home address or put N/A for this part. Any suggestions on how to answer this part? what did you fill in for this question? Thank you so much for any and all help regarding this! Will be so grateful

I put my address for mailing purposes. When it comes to the delivery of the visa, your spouse will select a DHL location to pick it up. They don’t have mailing addresses like we do here in the US. I also filled out the affidavit of support but it was the standard i864.

Thank you very much for your helpful information. Did you select Kampala or Nairobi for your embassy? We selected Kampala but now understand it would need to be Nairobi and are curious if they will automatically reassign the embassy at some point.

I put the request in early for NVC to switch from Kampala to Nairobi. All immigrant visas are issued in Nairobi. All other non immigrant visas are issued in Uganda for Ugandans.

Ok thank you, that is also very helpful information! Could you please tell me how you submitted the request?

Through NVC inquiry request. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

You are very welcome! This is a tough situation we are in and I hope to be of as much help to others as I can be to help us all get thru this!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
