Hi Mir! I see you're fiancé has an upcoming interview.
I hope it will go smoothly. You don't mind if we connect?
My fiancé is also from Egypt, we got approved a month ago and is waiting for NVC. I am also in contact with other women, who's finances are from Egypt as well. I thought it is helpful to support each other especially when it comes to the interview and stuff like that.
Thank you!

Hello!!
Sure I don’t mind at all! I have had a lot of help from another lady who was approved last month, she has helped GREATLY! This embassy is very confusing to deal with. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try and help out based on our experience this far!

Congratulations Mahmir! I was thinking about you guys. I am very happy for both of you. What were the questions asked?
Mahmir on 2022-10-11 said:
Sure, He was asked my full name, when we meet, how we meet, how many times I visit him in Egypt, if either of us was married before, if either of us have kids, the Names of the kids, when was the last time I went to see him, where I live in America, where we will marry at.. and if we will come back to marry in Egypt also..There were a couple more questions but I don’t remember what he told me they were…
And thank you â˜ºï¸ It’s crazy not knowing what will happen in the interview or what kind of questions they will ask… I have read that 1 or 2 of the CO’s aren’t too friendly.. and he did say he encountered a grumpy lady who checked his documents, but other than this the interview was quick and easy…
If you need help or have questions when the time come for you guys, I am more than happy to help if I can… I had a lot of help from one lady, without her.. I think we would not have had the interview yet.. So.. are you on Facebook?

Hi there! Congratulations on your approval! So excited 😊 our interview is December 12th for Spousal visa. I'm hoping it goes smoothly as well! May I ask, what is the CIB receipt? I don't recall seeing anything with those letters.
Mahmir on 2022-11-01 said:
This is the receipt from the bank (CIB) to show that the visa fee was paid. We actually had to send a copy in with the paperwork the embassy requested. And then they asked for the original at the interview.
I hope you get your approval! ðŸ™ðŸ¼

Ah ok! Thank you! That must be for the K visas. We paid our visa fees through the NVC. Only thing we've gotten so far that wasn't on the list is his family register as we have been hearing they keep asking for it at the interviews recently.

Hello, your Port of Entry Review mentions extremely long lines at JFK. Does your fiance happen to remember about how long the lines might've been? we're trying to schedule the flights and want to ensure we give enough time for the layover for these lines.
Mahmir on 2023-01-25 said:
He arrived at 2 pm and didn’t come through until 5 pm… he said that it was the lines that were long waits ! Not the CBP officer that was less than 10 mins…

Thank you for that answer! One more question if that's okay... you said "they asked for was Aramex receipt, address registration". are those two different things? We only have the SLS address registration page (with the barcodes) from ustraveldocs. do you know where we can get the aramex/sls receipt itself from?
Mahmir on 2023-02-13 said:
The proof of shipment (packet 3) email from SLS is what it was. But we just made a copy of it.. not really sure why they asked for it, but glad he took it with him! They are 2 different things.

Hi!!! Congratulations on everything!! I see you even have your EAD!! This is so encouraging to see!! My fiancé is in Egypt, and our k1 visa is in transit. I don’t know if you will see this, but I was wondering is you would mind helping us out with information regarding what we should do now? I keep seeing these “packet three and four†statements. What is that? Is this something that I need before I can file the Ds160?
M@M on 2023-12-22 said:
Can u tell me what is the validity of the visa ? How many months because someone told me it is maybe only one month or 3 in Egypt ?!!!
Mahmir on 2023-12-22 said:
It is good for 6 months to travel to the USA,
But once he enters it will be 90 days to get married from his entry date

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
