Embassy Review : |
My K1 interview appointment at US embassy London was at 9am on January 25, 2023.The interview only took 5 mins asking few questions about my fiance like his name and his address in the US, when did we first meet, and when did we last saw each other. I was divorced before and I am from the Philippines so I am expecting a lot more questions but they have not ask anything more nor ask for any evidence of relationship like pictures or messages and receipts (which i have have compiled and brought with me). When I get inside the embassy the IO in the first window immediately in took my original documents and scan, took my fingerprints and after that returned my original documents to me. After that I have waited for like 1 hour to be called again in the next window by another IO for the interview which only took 5mins and then said congratulations your visa is approved. The interview was straightforward and does not make me feel really nervous at all, the 2 IOs were really kind and the embassy is organized from the start. I got my K1 visa packet after 3 days from interview (though the IO said it will take 7-10days), delivered to my house via courier. (Sorry for my late review) Hope this will help lessen the anxiety of other K1 applicants. Don't worry I was so anxious too during the whole process prior to my interview but everything went well. Just stay positive and calm. Thank you so much VJ and other members who answered my questions and clarifications for my K1 journey. I am currently here in the US and waiting for my AOS interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
