Embassy Review : Had our IR-1 immigrant visa interview today. We went to Window 5 and the nice Uruguayan woman made sure we had our paperwork in order. Then we waited in line for Window 1 for the actual interview. They were nice and just asked a few questions about how we met. I was allowed to attend the interview as the petitioner in order to help with translation, as my wife is from Russia and this embassy allowed us to transfer her case to Uruguay because we couldn't get to Poland. We arrived around 1340, our interview was schedule for 1400. Don't know what time we actually had the interview (there were others in line ahead of us), but we left the embassy with our approval notice around 1520. They said it should take 10-14 days for the visa to be returned in the passport via DHL.
Rating : Very Good

Hi, I wonder, how did you get permission to transfer your case to another embassy from the embassy? Would you please tell me? I have been trying to get permission but they are not saying anything but some formal things. Thank You

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
