Consulate Review: Ankara, Turkey
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 18, 2023
Embassy Review : My fiancée was questioned by a female consulate worker. He was asked additional questions about how we originally met. She also asked questions about what his plans were once arriving in the U.S. They took all documents prior to the questioning and reviewed them. He said he was spoken to for a few minutes.
Rating : Very Good

Hi, I have a question. Is the time line of your K1 visa accurate? It left the NVC November 17th and received your interview date/ time December 5th? just wondered as my documents we DQ’ed November 11th but still have not received an interview date or time.

Congrats on the approval! During the consular interview, were you all asked for an signed original copy (not scanned/copied) of the letter of intent to marry or did you submit a scanned one?

Hi Dijana, I would think that you would’ve heard something by now. You need to email the embassy and national visa center. Yes, my timeline is accurate. Hi omnya , we actually made a new original intent to Mary printed it and then signed it ourselves and took it to the interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
