Good evening family, I just want to give you all a quick update on my family. My wife arrived at the state Dec. 22nd, 2023. I picked up at the BWI we are so excited to share this news.
But if you all remember my case when I changed my family case from spouse visa to CR1 and my kids had to been taking off her applications, and I was told to start all again. So, January 2023 I put in another application for my 3 beautiful kids, and January 29th I only received email for my older daughter, which is 17yrs old, she will be 18 in February 2024. Needless to say, my older got approved by the USCIS and the instruction in the email was to login to NVC websites to pay the necessary fees. I was just talking to my wife about this, this was yesterday the 29th. Today I received another email about 3.35pm American time. (Please read the email below)
Dear daughter,
The National Visa Center's (NVC) records indicate you will turn 18 years old in 120 days or less. When you turn 18, you cannot receive benefit under the U.S child citizenship Act. To ensure you can immigrate before this happen. NVC sent your petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in LAGOS, NRA for expedited processing. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you to schedule a visa interview. etc.!!!
Then about 8.51pm, I received another email (Please read below)
Dear (My daughter's name)
The U.S Embassy/Consulate General in LAGOS, NRA approved your request for expedited processing of your immigration visa application. The National visa center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in LAGOS, NRA for their action. The Embassy general will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.
Then they attached the CASE ID and the INVOICE ID.
Do you all think she will be schedule for interview before her 18th years birthday? Please advise and thank you for taking your time to read.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
