Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 26, 2023
Embassy Review : I wasn't there when my fiance had her appointment but she says the entire process was easy and very streamlined. She the early appointment and traffic in Bogota was still bad. She stayed in an AirBnb near the embassy just for that reason. The embassy employee was even joking with her during the appointment. She was mainly asked questions about how we met and what she knew about my kids. The interview was 15-20 minutes long and he told her congratulations you'll receive your visa in 10 days. Ana and I met online in October 2021, February 2022 I flew to Ecuador to meet her and we stayed together for a week. After that, she moved back to Venezuela which made it difficult for us to see each other. I have constantly gone to work since I was in the military. I wrote a letter to the embassy explaining my difficulties visiting Venezuela but they never read the letter.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
