Embassy Review : |
I still can not believe how easy and smooth our interview went after all stress we had in our minds.
Interview was scheduled for May 27th at 9am. We entered the embassy around 8:45am they took our appointment letter(first page out of 5) and told us to wait until we are called. After 10 min. my husband was called on window 14, he showed his passport they asked for passport pic and again we were told to wait for call. Around 9:15am we were called again on window 12 and lady who was there asked my husband for medical exam results, she asked me if I was his wife, she also asked my husband what do we have from proof, well...we had many chats, phone calls prints, cards that I was sending him, emails but she only took our pictures, I want to mention that she was speaking Spanish to my husband and English to me(cause I dont speak Spanish at all). She also asked my husband how many times I had been in Peru, what dates and she put all those information in a system, and again we were waiting for being called in room 15 for the interview.
Around 10:50am we were called in scary room #15
CO had all our doc`s, and same story he was speaking on Spanish to my husband and English to me. He was very pleasant person and this time he asked me the same questions that my husband was asked before on window 12, to see if we are going to answer the same. We have been asked do we have childrens from previous marriages,if my husband ever been in US,if he had a family there(he has a brother in CA), he asked me where I was living in US, what I do for a living, what year I emigrate to US and he also asked us about pic that he had been choosed from our photo album. Actually he asked ME more questions than my husband. At the end CO told my husband in Spanish that his visa was approved, but because I dont understand Spanish I asked my husband what he said and CO heard me and he replied in English that:" the visa of your husband been rejected", I froze...and he said after that its a joke. Duh!!! Also he congratulated to us and wish us good luck. We went outside we payed 16 soles for DHL and they told us we can pick up the passport in two days. YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
