We received the green card right away. A quick inquiry revealed that they had probably lost all of our proof. Good thing we kept a copy of everything we had submitted and were ready to send it quickly. No interviews for us!

Consulate Review: Madrid, Spain Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : October 14, 2008 Embassy Review : Basically we were over prepared. That is a good thing. The forms the embassy sent looked pretty old. We brought translations of documents that were in Spanish. Their documentation told us to. When we presented them they said "Oh, our forms are very old." They also forgot to send or ask for for DS230 - pt2. The interview was short - kind of. After it was over my fiance left and was at the train station when she got a phone call from the embassy. They had forgotten to have her sign a doc and she had to return. She went back but they would not let her bring in her computer - security reasons. She ended up walking down the street and finding a library that would hold it for her. The end result was great but the process seemed a bit loose. Rating : Moderate
