Event Description

Embassy Review : Interview took place on 27 January. Entry was quick and painless (remember, if you’re attending for an immigrant visa appointment you can skip the long queue!).

Arrived at 9.30am for 10am appointment. Waited around 40 mins until called up to the window and gave all of my documents. Then sat down again and waited for over 90 mins to be called for the visa interview. Only asked 4 or 5 standard questions and then told I had not brought an original copy of the petitioners divorce decree, so was given a green 221g form and asked to send in the original and upload it to CEAC, which I did the same day. Original document submitted by DX on the following Wednesday, and status changed the next day from “Refused” to “Administrative Processing “ and then to “Issued” on the Friday, so really quick turnaround.

Passport with visa in now in hand and ready to make the move in early April.

For those who are worrying about the interview in London, don’t. It’s really painless, but ensure you have all originals!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
