The whole interview process was smooth and pleasant.
I had an appointment at 08:30, got in around 08:05.
Submitted the documents and waited maybe around 20-25 minutes.
I think it’s better to enter the embassy as early as they let you in because I guess that most of the first appointments are at 08:30 so there were quiet a crowd around that time, and I guess I would had waited much longer if I had arrived around 08:30.
The immigration officer was nice and chill, he helped me relax a little bit as I was nervous 😂just asked several questions
•when we started dating
•where/how we met
•where is my fiancé at the moment |

Timeline Comments: 4Quick question. My Russian fiance is expecting to get called for a K1 interview in Warsaw, Poland. However, Poland is not issuing Schengen visas to Russian citizens for this purpose. Did you have the same issue and transfer yours to Japan?
We had 2 expedite requests denied for my Russian fiance this year. Would you mind sharing what you said in your request? her Schengen visa expires in November, so we are hoping to have something by then (will be 16 months from HOA-1). Any reason you went to Tokyo? Congratulations!
Did they end up accepting the Russian police certificate issued by the consulate abroad? I have the same doubt -- no official MVD seal.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
