Hey there! A few questions…How many times did you meet your fiancée before filing for the k-1? When did you first start talking? Did you go to Kenya to see her? How long did you spend in-person?

Hello! I am in Kenya very often. Almost every other month. We started talking about 3-4 years ago and we spend 1 week and sometimes 6 weeks together at a go. Very blessed. But it’s not easy all of the traveling and saying goodbye each time.

Hey I see that your case was approved, congratulations. Any tips on interview date? Or the process you went through with Kenya Embassy. My case just arrived there on 8/3/23 and I would appreciate any info at all. Thank you

We literally set a timer for every 30 mins to check the website for an open interview time slot. A lot of luck. It’s first come first serve. Interview was simple.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
