What was the RFE for ?if you don't mind me asking
S I A N on 2022-07-24 said:
I don’t mind at all. The RFE was for Intent to Marry evidence. What I sent initially was correspondence with a few hotels for wedding in April 2022 (because I had no idea that it would go beyond the 6-9 month time frame when I applied). So the RFE was expected. Had my fiancé do his Letter of Intent to Marry in May and I did mine a couple days before we got the notification for the RFE. In addition to that, I submitted evidence that we’ve met again since filing.

Did you include photos with your application? I came across recommendations to include them as another form of evidence of your meeting and interaction with your partner. Each photo should also include information on where the photos was taken, the event/activity, and approximate date. Not sure if this helps but thought I should share.
S I A N on 2022-07-24 said:
Yes I did. I include photos with captions in my initial application, as well as in my RFE.

Dear Sir/Madam:
The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems.
Since your case is not in our systems yet, we cannot make updates.
As soon as your case is in our systems, we will send a Welcome Letter and instructions. Then, if you still need help updating your case, you can contact us by using one of the methods listed on https://nvc.state.gov/ask.

How did you receive your case number? Congratulations!
S I A N on 2022-09-27 said:
Thank you! I received it via email and my fiancé (the beneficiary) did not, which I found odd.

No I received my case number on Sept 27th when it was in transit….. I just used my case number to determine what date my case number was assigned, which is how I got Sept. 2nd

Good afternoon I saw that you just booked an interview date how did you go about it cause I’ve been checking everyday for a date but it says can’t schedule an appointment. I’ve paid the visa fee and all that’s left is to book and appointment. Any information will help thanks
Cherished on 2022-12-21 said:
Pls What time did you book the appointment?
S I A N on 2022-12-22 said:
So sorry. Just seeing this. I booked at like 5:30a/5:45a my time which is 2:30p Nigeria time…. Just like you I was checking religiously and emailing USTravelDocs and The Consulate but NOTHING until yesterday. I was texting a gentleman about a WhatsApp group that takes turns checking for appointments and he suddenly told me appointments were available. That’s how I was able to schedule. I never joined that group since i now have a date, but I have a phone number for the group if you’re interested in joining.
Cherished on 2022-12-27 said:
Thanks Sian for your reply, Yes I’m interested in joining the group. Thanks .

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
