Comments :	I left 9ja evening of 27th of March through Port Harcourt with Lufthansa. Had a 5hr layover in Frankfurt, Germany. Flight was a little delayed but I landed at LAX at 1:44pm on March 28th. Went to customs after getting off the flight and stood in the noncitizens queue until it was my turn. Officer took my passport and saw the visa, then requested the sealed envelope. Officer: where are you going to? Officer: oh you getting married? Officer: What date? Officer: where are you getting married? He opened the envelope and bit his tongue trying to pronounce my last name ðŸ¤¦ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸. Then called another officer to ask him questions as if he wasnâ€™t too familiar with how to process it. He then stamped my passport and signed and told me to be sure I do whatever I need to do within 90 days. Then congratulated me, told me good luck, and returned my passport to me. From there I went to claim my bags.

I donâ€™t mind at all. The RFE was for Intent to Marry evidence. What I sent initially was correspondence with a few hotels for wedding in April 2022 (because I had no idea that it would go beyond the 6-9 month time frame when I applied). So the RFE was expected. Had my fiancÃ© do his Letter of Intent to Marry in May and I did mine a couple days before we got the notification for the RFE. In addition to that, I submitted evidence that weâ€™ve met again since filing.

Did you include photos with your application? I came across recommendations to include them as another form of evidence of your meeting and interaction with your partner. Each photo should also include information on where the photos was taken, the event/activity, and approximate date. Not sure if this helps but thought I should share.

So sorry. Just seeing this. I booked at like 5:30a/5:45a my time which is 2:30p Nigeria timeâ€¦. Just like you I was checking religiously and emailing USTravelDocs and The Consulate but NOTHING until yesterday. I was texting a gentleman about a WhatsApp group that takes turns checking for appointments and he suddenly told me appointments were available. Thatâ€™s how I was able to schedule. I never joined that group since i now have a date, but I have a phone number for the group if youâ€™re interested in joining.
