Congratulations! Did you expedite the process?
Worldismine03 on 2022-01-15 said:
Thank you Ezk. No I didn’t expedite the process. We only requested a waiver for the 2 year meeting requirement and just waited. I wasn’t expecting an approval this quickly and neither was my lawyer but we are happy and appreciative of the fast approval. Hopefully interview won’t be a major set back with US embassy being closed in Afghanistan

Thank you Abenajj yes it was a total surprise. I was expecting to hear back around end of summer. I pray you get the NOA2 quickly also.

What was the reason you had for not meeting? Did you have any additional requests on that area specifically
Worldismine03 on 2022-08-10 said:
The reason we had to not meeting was because of the current situation in Afghanistan the border closures and issues that is over there and thats why they approved our meeting waiver.

Congratulations! Did you select to place of interview to be Islamabad initially on form I-129F ? Or you change it later?

My beneficiary doesn't live in Pakistan can our case be sent to Pakistan?
Worldismine03 on 2022-09-23 said:
Hi @mohadesa No I originally put Kabul and had it transferred after my fiancé arrived to Pakistan. Once we knew our case was with NVC and my fiancé was able to get to Islamabad we contacted NVC for a transfer request and it was transferred within 48 hours probably even less. On the advisement of our lawyer he said that the only way to get the case transferred to Islamabad we had to provide address in Islamabad, Pakistan visa (they want to know you came there legally), and a phone number they can be reached in Pakistan. After getting all of that together I sent it over to nvc and after that we were able to see our case was transferred. On the DS-160 form we had to put Islamabad at that time. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi @Worldismine03 I’m really sorry to read about the recent outcome!
Did they tell you at all any reason?
Thank you so much for info, sorry I replied late I never got a notification until now, did you request the the case transfer to Pakistan through nvc public inquiry form?
We don’t have a Pakistan’s visa yet! The public inquiry response time is 2 months now dang

I am so sorry about your outcome. That seems so unfair. Is there anything you can do?!

@mohadesa yes I applied for the interview transfer through the NVC inquiry form on their site. I wouldn’t worry about the response time as for afghan nationals they expedite their responses. I had my transfer happen the following day from my inquiry.
They gave us no reason at all but my fiance said that they gave that same white 221g form to all the Afghan people that went to the embassy and had their interview before him. Including a mom who was getting a family visa through her son. We didn’t get any answer why our case was being sent back to USCIS but from the CO’s demeanor and words it seemed they had an issue with our age gap. Me in my 30s and him in his 20s. There was another fiancé couple there that had similar age and they also got their case sent back.
If you can go anywhere other than Pakistan I would suggest to do so at this point based from what I have seen. (not sure if either you or your fiancé is from afghanistan) but if you are just be prepared to not have a legitimate interview as they separated Pakistani people from Afghan people and had the Pakistan nationals go in a room for their interview while Afghan nationals had their interview through a window.

@sanda2022 thank you for your kind words. Our lawyer said to get married because our case will sit at USCIS for a year before I hear anything and even then I will never know why our case was sent back.
Now our road block is that we can’t find someone to do our nikkah (wedding certificate) here In Pakistan since they are requesting one of us to be a Pakistan national. So now I’m not sure what to do at this point. It’s been 3 days since the interview and we haven’t been able to sleep or can’t stop thinking what else we can do. In a few hours I’m gonna try to go to the law office in Pakistan to see how we can get married here. There has to be some way.

Look up jamila's Advocate, the office is located in Lahore, Pakistan. They help couples marry legally and register it through the court. I think they would be a huge blessing to you. My husband who is from Pakistan and I married legally through them because of covid I couldn't go to him to marry him through the church.

If it's any consolation to you our age difference is 27 years difference, where I'm older, our love is real and we want to be together for the rest of our life and no one can separate or keep apart love, age is not a factor or against the law when its 2 consenting adults and for the CO to state its unusual is false. Its more common then we know and it's it must be done by law this is not a legal reason to deny its prejudice.

Thank you so much for the info! I hope everything gets solved as soon as possible for you

Thank you everyone for the advice and well wishes. It’s been one week since we were denied still haven’t heard back and the Ceac site showing “ready†is a tease. Me and my fiancé are definitely feeling depressed since the outcome and just almost faking being happy but it’s been hard knowing in 4 days I’ll leave here and who knows when I can see him again. He’s going back to Afghanistan until we can know more or our next steps

As a correction we weren’t denied we were sent to Admin Processing hell where our petition is left to expire.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
