Hello there
I need your help with NVC case to the US embassy processing … My case was approved and accepted by NVC, six weeks ago, and no words from the US Embassy in Ethiopia. The embassy there is currently not working on the interview. Does anybody whose case related to the US embassy in Ethiopia have scheduled an interview recently?
Any answer would be appreciated.

By the way if you have a reason to expedite your case try on that matter other wise , the embassy is currently working on cases documentary qualified towards July 2020, they are still on cases “2020†there is a backlog of more than 1 year .

My reason I requested to expedite was the current situation in Ethiopia which is an ongoing war between ethnic groups. I don’t know why they didn’t reply to my request. I submitted I-130 on October, 2020.
Thank you again.

Even if it’s been two years since your process has begun , to get interview letter , it counts from the date NVC accepted and approved your case .I guess your case is DQ on November 2021 , which means there is 16 months backlog before you ,very frustrating

Hi Tadu, hope you are well! Have you got interview appointment?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
