Hello Sharlina, I was wondering if there are any updates to your case? Did you submit all the necessary documents and have you been Documentarily Qualified (DQ) yet as well as have you been able to schedule an interview with the US Embassy in Morocco? My husband is in Casablanca. We got our I-130 approved, paid all fees, and uploaded all the necessary documents (+more) and now we are waiting to be DQ'd, and for the interview. Someone on reddit said wait times for the interview are ranging from 3-6 months? I was kind of shocked. I didn't know it took that long. My coworker said her husband only waited for an interview for a month.

Hello Salima, good morning. We just paid our fees a few days ago, and I submitted all financial documents along with i-864. We did not yet do the ds 260 application online, have you done that yet? Are we allowed to do this now after paying fees? I'm not sure if we are DQ'd yet, would that be in another notice from the NVC? I am stuck on not knowing how long the 1864 application will take to process. What we have to do next is the ds-260 online but since we opted for our lawyer to prepare it for us it just hasn't been made quite clear to me if our i864 had to be approved first before we will out the ds-260.That is where we are at right now, also waiting for my husband to obtain his police clearance certificates. And I was busy last night sorting out all our relationship, travel and joint financial evidence so my husband can take it to his interview whenever that may happen. I'm not sure how much evidence he will need or what they will focus on. God bless you and your journey together, it seems we may be around the same phase right now. If I learn anything that may help us I'll share it with you. Also if I get any notices or updates

Yes, we completed DS-260 questionnaire. You can enter that information in as soon as the application becomes available which is 2-3 days after processing the fees. You will know you are DQ'd when you see "APPROVED" instead of "SUBMITTED" on your Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence as well as IV Application and Civil Documents portion. I believe you will also get a message notification on the CEAC portal stating you are documentarily qualified and to be on stand-by for an interview. It's best to complete the application fully as soon as you can because it slots you into the waiting line for an interview. People have been telling me it's first submitted first interview basis, because initially I thought interview dates were based off your priority date on when you first started the immigration process with USCIS. I've been reading that it's taking 3-6 months for immigrant filers to get an appointment at the embassy of Morocco in Casablanca after being DQ'd. I saw that you received your I-130 approval before me so I was hoping you were at the interview stage. I wish you and your husband best of luck, and hopefully it doesn't take that long to get Approved for your documents and an interview appointment booked, because I know if they don't approve our documents (DQ) it can further delay the process.

Thank you for sharing this information with me I will also pass this information on to my husband. I will pray that we all do not have to wait so long.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
