Heya! congrats on the quick approval - did you happen to expedite your case by any chance?
CMRenane on 2022-04-05 said:
Thank you so much! I’m still shocked of our quick approval but so thankful. We did not expedite. I filed K3 3 weeks after NOA1 for I130. They denied the K3 3 weeks later and approved I130 same day.
Amooni on 2022-04-05 said:
Ah! Makes sense. Yeah, I've been waiting on mine since Sep 2021. So, we've put together the i-129f for the K3 and plan on submitting it in 2 weeks. What did you attach to your K3 application?

I hope you guys get your approval soon! Patience is key. I was not expecting any movement on our case until the end of this year at the earliest. With K3, I included copy of NOA1 from I130, copy of our marriage certificate with translation and my previous divorce decree. It asked for passport photos so I included that. I did not include the relationship evidence that was with the I130 because they have it already. I also suggest sending it via UPS or FedEx so you can track it. Also fill out the G-1145 so they can text you when they receive it. I got a text with K3 case number 4 days after UPS delivery and the paper receipt came in the mail 10 days later.
Amooni on 2022-04-05 said:
Ah, great! Thanks so much for clarifying. Okay, will do the same :) Good to know they need a copy of any divorce decrees - did you send a certified copy of the divorce decree?
CMRenane on 2022-04-05 said:
I just sent a copy of my original. I have every document scanned as pdf and saved to my phones file folder. I printed it on regular computer paper. Never give them originals unless they specifically ask. I know for the interview at the embassy it is best(or required) for the beneficiary to come with all originals and extra photocopies of each document. I think they look at the originals but keep the photocopies you provide.

Hi! It gives me hope to see your case. I am also from Morocco 🇲🇦. I petitioned for my wife online. NOA1 was sent to Texas service center and a few days later, I sent K3 using UPS. I also attached G-1145. I am hoping it goes as fast as your case was. What documents and fees are you going to send in the second step (NVC). Thank you!
CMRenane on 2022-07-01 said:
I’m praying your case goes quickly and smoothly! We are still at NVC it’s taking us a long time. I had to find a joint sponsor. I paid the fees as soon as they created our case. My lawyer now has all the documents and we are waiting on him to complete the DS-260 and everything else so we can get in line. I think he’s on vacation now too so we are just patiently waiting. Good luck to you and your wife!

Thank you so much Courtney! I wish you a speedy and smooth process. Good luck to you and your husband!

Hi Courtney! Did you submit your husband’s birth certificate with the I-130?
CMRenane on 2022-07-04 said:
We don’t submit his birth certificate until now at NVC.
Nabiler on 2022-07-04 said:
Oh okay! Because I saw in one the timelines that they got an RFE and USCIS asked for the beneficiary’s birth certificate, so I got worried. Thank you for your answer. ðŸ™ðŸ»
CMRenane on 2022-07-04 said:
To be honest you never know if you will get an RFE or not. I’ve seen people submit everything correctly and still get an RFE. I guess it all depends on who is reviewing your case at any time. The only document in Arabic that I submitted with translation to USCIS was our marriage certificate. All my husbands documents are only required at NVC and interview.

No problem! I am happy to share our experience so far. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
Amooni on 2022-07-22 said:
My case got approved yesterday! So happy! How long did it take NVC to reach out to you?
CMRenane on 2022-08-29 said:
Sorry I’m just seeing your comment! My lawyers office delayed our NVC waiting by 2 months :( they did not submit everything they were supposed to, and it took 2 months for me to get them to realize their mistake and I had been emailing them the entire 2 months on and off. Our last required doc submission for NVC is august 9 so we still have some more time to wait. They are still taking like 75 days for review. You might be ahead of me by now!

Hello, congratulations on your progress this far, did you get DQ yet? Any idea about interview date?
CMRenane on 2022-10-18 said:
We were at NVC, had an RFE last month, and just got an approved expedite from the consulate. That was yesterday so we don’t have an interview date yet. We are waiting for the consulate to contact us for that. Hopefully we hear something soon but thankful nonetheless.

Hi there! This is the only January interview I’ve seen from Morocco. How did your interview go?
Ash27004 on 2023-01-17 said:
Sorry not January—but either way I hope everything went well. We had an expedite this month and our case is ready at post.
CMRenane on 2023-01-17 said:
Our interview was in December. We are in AP. Still waiting. Our attorney made a mistake on the ds260 and caused us this delay.
Amooni on 2023-01-17 said:
Omg, I hope you never use that law firm again. First, they delay you at NVC by not submitting everything and now they made a mistake on the DS260 - you must be really frustrated with them! What kind of error was it?
CMRenane on 2023-02-04 said:
Visa finally issued 2/2/23 after 7 weeks in AP.
CMRenane on 2023-02-04 said:
And that was only because of immense pressure we put on them weekly to issue including 2 different congressmen involved and my lawyer requesting assistance from a government agency that aids immigrants with wrongful visa refusals.
Ash27004 on 2023-02-04 said:
Wow you guys have really been through the ringer. I'm so sorry that it took so long, but HOORAY that your husband will finally be with you soon. Congratulations--that's awesome news.
CMRenane on 2023-02-04 said:
Thank you so much! We are relieved this is finally over and now we can focus on our family. We welcomed a baby boy last week and I’m so excited to see my husband hold him for the first time and watching them bond. Have faith and be patient and keep persisting is my advice. If you feel you have been wronged by immigration in the process, keep fighting for them to do the right thing. Don’t ever give up. God Bless everyone in this journey!!!

Hi, congrats on your approval!! Would you mind sharing why did it take almost two months between the interview and getting the visa? thanks
CMRenane on 2023-03-23 said:
Our lawyer made a hand typed mistake regarding my husband’s court record in the DS260 stating he had a charge but he had none. His police and court records show nothing. Clean. They asked us for evidence of that. Me, my husband, and our lawyer basically harassed them and did multiple congressional inquiries that they finally issued it. I think if not we would still be stuck in AP for a very long time. So thankful it went our way.
User121213 on 2023-03-23 said:
Wow that must have been stressful.. thank God it went well :) In my case, the interview went will and needed to send them the medical later. Just did last Tuesday so hopefully I hear back from them soon and not be placed for month in AP...
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
