Hi SJ, so my documents that I submitted were approved by NVC in Feb 2022, but I received email that I am documentary qualified in Oct 2022. could you please share your dates as well. I am just wondering if NVC made a mistake. That's putting me 6 months behind. Thanks

Hi Deep, so after my 130 was approved in June 2022 and submitting the documents to NVC, they had requested additional documents twice. And each time they took approximately 60 days to update the case status. Hence I was DQ’ed only in Dec. Any updates on your Interview? I read that restarted the visa process for immigrant visa only after the student visa appointments in September. That probably led to the delay. Most Jan/ Feb DQed applications are getting an interview now but I also saw few from the months of June-September.

Thanks for reply back. I got no update on my interview. NVC approved all my documents in Feb2022. I never heard back from them for several months. I emailed NVC twice to get an update, but they never replied back. I guess they ignore emails that only looking for update. Then I approached one of senate in Massachusetts. I explained him for how long I have been waiting for and NVC is not replying back. NVC got back to Senate within 2 days and they said, Deep just have to wait like everyone else. There is significant delay due to covid. There is nothing they can do to help me expedite". I got my DQ next day after NVC reply back to the senator. I honestly feel like NVC mistakenly forgot to send my DQ letter after they approved all my documents online in Feb2022. That has put me behind by several months. I feel like replying back to senator to get that correct. but not sure if this is the right move. Honestly, I am scared of this new wave that will be coming over India and USA. I really hope that wont get embassies or NVC close like before. That will really delay everyones cases for another year or so. I can't afford that. I dont know why NVC dont just waive interview requirements for spouse visa like Spain, Canada and UK did.

According to the news US is taking few steps to help with immigration backlog. Hopefully that’ll help. And June and July applicants got their interview scheduled for march. Hopefully you’ll get your letter soon! Do let me know when you get an update..

Hi Preity, can I know which category your application belongs to, IR1,CR1 or F2A. Interview dates are released once every month. So I’m not sure whether it’ll be any different this month as well. Hope you get it soon!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
