07/03/22: It's been a month and we haven't heard anything from the NVC yet.
07/06/22: After sending 2 inquiries, we finally got notice that the NVC received our case. Now we have to wait for a case number.
07/19/22: FINALLY!! OUR CASE NUMBER IS HERE AND OUR CASE IS IN TRANSIT!! We just filed DS-160, and are just waiting for our case to be ready so we can schedule an appt on the AIS-USVISA system.
07/20/22: I was able to create an account/applicant group on the AIS-USVISA website, but there are no slots available, so I can't pay the fees, and schedule the medical.
07/25/22: Case ready! Finally. We're just waiting for packet 3, as there are no available slots yet.
07/26/22: WE GOT AN AVAILABLE INTERVIEW DATE!!!! WE JUST LOGGED INTO THE AISUSVISA SITE and September 6 is available. We booked it just in case!! Edit: we did not get packet 3 or 4 at all, we just happened to log into the consular website and saw that this date was available. Now, I don't know if getting these welcome letters are required for me attending an interview or even scheduling a medical; but I guess time will tell? Maybe I'll receive my packet 3/4 soon; but hope that this doesn't affect my interview date. I booked it, because i did not want to sit around and wait for the packet 3, and potentially missing out on these dates.
07/26/22: Regarding my medical: After registering on the IHCH site, I decided to call the center, and they held a slot for my on August 30th, 2022; so 1 week before my interview date, which is perfect. Lady on the phone told me to wait for my registration to complete so she can send me all the details and instructions for my exam. Today is good. God is good. We are going to prepare all documents for our interview now.
08/08/22: I received my pre-appt checklist (Packet 3) today which is pretty late, and I didn't really know what to do with it lol. I sent the IV unit an email to check if they require any more action from me; and they emailed me back saying that I still have to follow the instructions and send them back the form with the DS-160 OVER EMAIIL, so I did... I just hope they don't override my interview date. Panic/Overthinking mode!!! I also have called the IHCH so many times already to send me a confirmation of my medical exam but they've told me that they will send it 2 weeks prior to my appt and that I don't have to worry about it since my exam is registered in their system.. Everything is so unorganized with them, it's kind of frustrating..
08/08/22: After sending them my passport bio page, ds-160 and the checklist over email, they actually replied with my P4 containing 2 letters, one is the final appointment letter and the other one is a medical exam instructions page. AWESOME!
08/30/22: Medical exam went incredibly smooth. Didn't need any additional vaccines. Doctor said my levels were incredibly healthy and I'm super grateful for that tbh bc health is wealth! Since I'm under 25, I had to do a blood and urine test but they mentioned that getting results for those shouldn't take longer than 3 days to come in. The doctor made a note for the others to make sure they send my medical to the consulate by Thursday so it'll be there in time for my interview! Last week of waitinig has started.. Super excited.
For those who will be going through the same experience later:
The general medical examination is done at the polyclinic at the International Health Center in The Hague. After your examination, you will have to go to the Bronovo hospital to do your X-ray at the "radiologie" (it's on the same floor as the reception). After you do your x-ray, they will give you an envelope which you'll have to bring back to the International health center. After you get deliver it, they'll give you a copy of the x-ray in case CBP will ask for it, and then you'll get to pay for the whole examination and additional services that needed to be done.
To schedule your medical exam:
1. Email prevention@ezorg.nl requesting to schedule a medical exam for your k1 visa at the US consulate, and give them your information (full name, dob, email, phone number, case number, consulate interview date). Make sure that your exam is scheduled 2 weeks (at least) before the interview.
2. They will most likely give you a call to confirm your appointment, but if they don't, please bug the heck out of them! When you do bug them, ensure you're talking to the polyclinic.
3. Later they will send you a confirmation email asking for some forms and documents that you'll have to send back (health questionnaire, immunization records, and a copy of your passport)
4. In this same email (3) they will give you instructions to schedule an x-ray appt at the Bronovo hospital (which is like a 5 min drive away from IHCH). Make sure this appt scheduled at least 2 hours after your medical exam.
Documents to have with you: DS-160 Confirmation page, Case number letter, immunization records (geel boekje, rivm boekje, any other blood tests that show you have antibodies against a certain virus, coronacheck covid 19 records), 4 US size passport photos (51mmx51mm, 2x2 inch)
09/06/22: FINALLY!!!! THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER!!! (well, after getting my passport back). I GOT APPROVED!!!! Today was super chill, only 2 other applicants in the buildng that had an appt at the same time as I. I walked in, security was super friendly, then at window 1 they asked my birth certificate, translation, police certificate, affidavit of support + supporting documents, my passport photos, my passport itself, and asked some basic questions. Then I had to wait and was called 45 minutes later for the official interview. They asked me the following questions:
1. When did you meet?
2. How did you meet?
3. When did she come to visit you?
4. Have you ever overstayed a visa?
5. What do you do for work?
6. What does she do for work?
7. Why didn't you just marry in NL?
8. When did she come to visit you?
9. How often do you talk?
10. Do you have wedding plans?
11. Is the app (bumble) you met on an international marriage broker?
12. Do you know your rights and what to do once you enter the USA?
Extremely friendly, super smooth and nice experience. Good luck to everyone!!!
09/07/22: Wow, I'm in big luck. My visa has been issued today!
09/12/22: Received a track & trace code from Mikropakket! I should receive it tomororw, and if I don't, then ill go pick it up myself.

So... Thank you Consular unit for possibly jeopardizing my whole immigration process and giving me extreme anxiety about everything. It's funny, extremely funny actually, how the consular section is allowed to make tons and TONS of mistakes, but the disaster that would get unloaded on us the moment we make 1 small miss-hap is just baffling.
So, what happened you might ask? Well, I arrived at SFO, after a super long and tiring flight. After I stood in line for almost 1 hour, I arrived at one of the border windows and the officer acted surprised by the fact that I'm entering with a K1 Visa. I asked him if that was a problem, and he said that he doesn't get any male k1 visas. This already threw me off guard, and he followed with a bombardment of questions, like TONS. These questions ranged from a plethora of things that I've answered 3 years ago when entering on a J1 Visa. After surviving all these machine gun bullets, he asked me for my yellow packet and while browsing through my files he continued to ask me tons of questions, which I've all answered truthfully and didn't seem to raise any issues. Anyhow, he looked up to me and said that my medical exams are not in the yellow packet... WHAT?!?!??!!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! Of course, my stomach was turning at this point, and with desperation, I reached out to my folder and hand him my x-ray CD to see if this could help the issue and he just gave it back and nodded his head. He then let me know that we will proceed to secondary due to the long lines and boy oh boy my blood was boiling...
After waiting for like 1.5 hours, I had lost all hope over hearing them talk about how my medical was extremely important for me to enter the country.
Miracles happen I guess, because this young brother officer came over, nodded and took my files and started looking at it. After a long while, he came back and he started asking me questions about my case and asked me if I've done the medical exam or not. I said of course I did, it's mandatory in order to get my K1 visa, and that's when it hit me! I still have original proof of payment for my medical exam! I told him that I had this document, and he said that he wanted to take a look at it.
I gave him the receipt, that had my full name, description of the medical exam, and everything else. He said that this is proof to the border that I did it, and that he will take a scan of it and put it on my file.
I gasped of relief, and after taking another 30 minutes of him scanning the receipt and putting it in my file he came over and asked me if i knew all the rules, to which I obviously nodded.
He then walked back and returned with my stamped passport and said that this problem is no longer theirs or mine, but the consulate's and the USCIS'.
I sent the consular section a very "kind" /s email stating how they jeopardized my whole immigration process and that I really expect these results to be sent over as soon as possible, so I can still include them with my AOS and not have to pay a load of money for another exam.
Guys, please, have your medical files copied by the doctor and bring them with you to the US, because you can not count on the consular section. Seriously, you can not. Please, bring a copy or at least proof that you did your exam. As a matter of fact, bring a copy of friggin'; everything.. police certificate, birth certificates... everything that was needed for your K1 interview. That's what I did at least and I'm glad it BARELY worked out in my favor...

It was not busy at all, consular officers were friendly and I was asked some basic questions:

3. When did she come to visit you?
4. Have you ever overstayed a visa?
5. What do you do for work?

Everything went super smooth, and staff was super patient, although they did mention it was one of their better days. |

Heck yeah. Be that squeaky wheel! Glad you got an answer from the NVC. 💜
Fk254 on 2022-07-06 said: Congratulations ...................soon you get your packet 3 and 4
What is packet 3 and 4? Many timeliness don't have any info on packet 3 and 4...im curious
Brii on 2022-07-12 said: Thank you guys! @RamiZest packet 3 is a welcome letter from the embassy which contains a checklist and a form that includes a written confirmation and request for documents to determine your eligibility for an interview. After you send this letter to them, they'll open up some slots in their visa scheduling system (https://ais.usvisa-info.com). I haven't seen a lot of people waiting for their P4 and after refreshing the page a lot of times, they were just able to schedule an interview.
Congrats on getting word from the NVC !! 🙌
Brii on 2022-07-13 said: Thank you poochy! keep us up to date with how things are going with you plez
Thank you so much. Very helpful information. I can't wait to get approved ðŸ™ðŸ¿ðŸ‘ðŸ¾

Man, so much great news. I'm loving it👌ðŸ¾
Brii on 2022-07-19 said: Thank you so much!! Hoping to get our case ready asap. We just finished filing DS-160. Just waiting for the consular appointment website to allow us to schedule a date now. They won't allow us to create a new group/appointment.
Fk254 on 2022-07-26 said: Congratulations on your date.........You meant they didn't send you packet 3 and 4 to book a date...
You must be really lucky that you did not have to wait, wait and keep waiting for a date like my own case
Brii on 2022-07-26 said: @Franklin & Vanessa, thank you guys. I did not receive packet 3, but from what I've been reading, I didn't want to stick around and wait; especially with the chances of these dates being taken away. I know that @Kingcopperbeard had a similar case where they were able to just grab a date without receiving packets in chronological order. I am glad this was my case as well; the wait is way too much and I can't rely on them for sending me these packets in time. Just a question though, I see that it's a general requirement to bring with me the welcome letters from the Amsterdam consular (i assume this is P3 or P4), was this the case for you guys? If it is, I still have to wait for these to come in, will I want to attend the interview haha; same goes for the medical right? I need a welcome letter, or is an interview date with an instruction page enough?
Fk254 on 2022-07-26 said: You do not have any problem again....I must say...
They won't even ask about the packet 3 and 4...
What you just need to do is to go to the aisus visa site and log into your account and print out the appointment confirmation...
You are good to go ...
The chronological order of p3 and p4 is not really important provided you already know what to do and how to do it..
Have you booked your medical ...you need to do now ...so you can get an appointment for August before your visa interview appointment for September
Brii on 2022-07-26 said: Thank you so much F&V, I appreciate y'alls help and keep me up to date with how things are going for you guys. I keep praying for fast results for all of us. I will go ahead and email the International Health Center The Hague (IHCH) for a medical exam.
Damn Brii, you didn't wait for shit 😂 Lol my fiance was the one telling me "we're gonna book the interview date forget P4" and i was scared that they might have to reschedule as we did not receive P4. It seems like the consulate is not organised and they just have us wait until Kingdom come 😪 Congrats on the date 🎉 !
We never received P3! Those people. We could make the interview and did so..and then someone over there realized “oh shit they didn’t get the P4†and emailed it to my fiancé the day before his interview. They are a MESS organizationally.
Brii on 2022-07-27 said: Oh man, yea; I've only decided to book it after reading y'alls stories tbh. I'm NOT gonna sit around hahaha. I hope everything will go well for everyone else here!
Brii on 2022-08-10 said: Hey guys, I don't know who's reading this but I'm lowkey worried for 1 thing:
- I scheduled my medical at IHCH and they told me that everything's ni the system for August 30th, 10am. However, I've seen other people receive email with instructions to send them back some information + instructions on how to schedule their xray at the bronovo hospital. I called the IHCH like 5 times to ensure my appointment on August 30th is for a medical exam for my k1 visa at the us consulate and they've told me that they will send me my confirmation/reminder email 1 week before the appointment; and that there is no follow-up action for me to take. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?
Brii on 2022-08-16 said: Update: Finally got my confirmation mail with instructions to schedule my xray at the bronovo hospital. woohoo
Awesome news! Hey so will NVC send me an email or physical mail once they receive my approval from USCIS?
Brii on 2022-08-31 said: Hey RamiZest, thank you. You will receive an email from the NVC with your case number; but I'd be cautious of this as they often neglect sending this. If I were you, I'd send them an email in about a month
Good Luck on the interview tomorrow Ya'll !! 🙌 All will go well !
Brii on 2022-09-06 said: Thank you everyone <3

Congrats !! Whoop whoop! the wait is finally over ! 🥳🥳
Have a safe trip & smother eachother with lots of Love! 💑
I'm sorry guys :( I was shocked reading it all. It's just crazy how these people can make any mistake possible and you are the one to pay for it eventhough you aren't the one that put that packet together. I hope they pay a good amount of money to send those papers to you ASAP. Cause the AOS takes a long time too. Glad you made it through the POE regardless of this circumstance ðŸ™
Congratulations to the marriage and making it finally â¤ï¸ðŸŽ‰ðŸ‘

(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
