Have you heard anything from USCIS yet?
SLeon on 2022-05-15 said:
No. We are at 381 days. :(
Raf And Gab on 2022-05-15 said:
Absolute craziness. According to visajourney projection you are supposed to be initially approved these upcoming days (?). Praying for you.
SLeon on 2022-05-16 said:
I know hoping for some good news 🥺. Thank you! Are you April also?
Raf And Gab on 2022-05-16 said:
No, my case was filed in June. Can you let me know in this chat when you are approved? I'm assuming that if your projections are right, mine should be also :)
SLeon on 2022-05-16 said:
Yes I will let you know. From looking at the forum looks like they are working April and June and skipping around May. So praying for us both.

Have you heard anything?
SLeon on 2022-05-23 said:
No nothing yet ðŸ˜
Raf And Gab on 2022-05-23 said:
Oh no. The projection dates may be no good
SLeon on 2022-05-23 said:
Exactly. We were relying on this for a bit and ended up cancelling our trip thinking we would be hearing something but noticing how this is becoming so unreliable we are just going to take the trip. We did have our attorney put in a inquiry when we had the chance but even that was blah
Raf And Gab on 2022-05-24 said:
Are you in the US or in Islamabad?
SLeon on 2022-05-27 said:

Hey, any news about your case being sent to NVC?
SLeon on 2022-05-31 said:
No we haven’t heard anything I know I have seen on the forums that it takes about 2-3 weeks. Our attorney did reach out and say they will need to complete 2 forms also
Raf And Gab on 2022-05-31 said:
Okay. I hope it goes quickly. Please keep me posted.
Raf And Gab on 2022-06-16 said:

Raf And Gab on 2022-07-01 said:
Did you say it left NVC or it just arrived at NVC?
SLeon on 2022-07-02 said:
It left its in transit
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Amazing!
Naz-Awa on 2022-07-02 said:
Hey, I have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. While the case is getting transferred to the NVC did you get your process started? Like the affidavit of support, police clearance and DS-160 or do you have to wait until the NVC receives and schedules you? I’m just a little confused. And what are the documents you as the beneficent need and what are the documents your fiancé needs to focus on? Can you please help me out since my case is also in transit and if I need to get things done while it’s in transit I can get the process started. Thanks in advance for all your help!
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Wow you did the process without a help of a lawyer? Amazing. Sure I can help…
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
From my lawyer:
YOUR CASE WILL NOW MOVE FROM THE NVC TO THE U.S. EMBASSY: The NVC (National Visa Center) will now transfer your case to the US Embassy for your fiancé(e)’s interview; This transfer process usually takes about 2 weeks.
WHAT COMES NEXT:
(a) DS-160: your fiancé(e) should fill out the DS-160 form now. Here is a link: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
This deals mainly with biography—where your fiancé(e) has worked and lived, where they went to school, etc. You can fill this out together.
(b) NOTIFICATION FROM THE U.S. EMBASSY (within the next 2 weeks): in about 2-3 weeks, the US embassy will notify your fiancé(e) with instructions about how to schedule a medical exam, what documents they need, and how to schedule an interview.
Until you hear from the US embassy, you cannot schedule a medical exam.
People sometimes wonder whether they will be contacted by mail or email. In most cases, it’s by email. If you have changed your mailing address or email, PLEASE NOTIFY THE CONSULATE NOW.
(c) IF YOU HAVE NOT SENT YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO US (FOR YOUR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT), YOU NEED TO DO THAT NOW!
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Pakistan does not keep formal police records on their citizens so no reports can be obtained. But I would double check this…
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
The affidavit of support should have been done already. Do that first!
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
But if you don’t have a lawyer, I’m not sure where you sent the affadavit of support…
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Send*
SLeon on 2022-07-02 said:
Hi naz-awa yeah I am not much help when it comes to what documents to fill out and where they should be sent as my attorney has been the one doing it all. They just send us a list of the documents we need to obtain and send to them via a portal and then they do the rest. I can send you the list that my attorney sent to me when our case was approved of all the documents needed if you would like
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Oh yes. Naz Awa you have time. I thought I was replying to SLeon, who only has a couple of weeks, God willing!
Naz-Awa on 2022-07-02 said:
Yes, can you please send me the list. That would be great help. As of now my case has been approved and when I was applying affidavit of support was not something which needed to be submitted. Infact I thought that was the second step after approval. I do have it ready but just unsure if I am suppose to send it to my fiance in Pakistan or upload it to a portal myself. I do know you need a police clearance form in Pakistan. It something similar to a background check here in the U.S. From my understanding the police clearance form is something that is usually obtained from the local police station where your I.D is from. I may be wrong on that though.
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-02 said:
Naz, i sent you the list from up top…
Zee & A on 2022-07-13 said:
Hi, hav you received an interview/medical exam date yet?
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-13 said:
Hello. No we just got approved yesterday. It takes about a month for it to arrive at the consulate and then for them to call for an interview…
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-13 said:
Oh that message was for SL
SLeon on 2022-07-13 said:
We actually just received a email from the consulate this morning letting us know we can schedule the interview. Once our attorney sends the docs and schedules I will let you know the date
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-13 said:
Great!
Raf And Gab on 2022-07-14 said:
SL, my lawyer said Islamabad is taking a long time to give interviews for visas unfortunately...
Worldismine03 on 2022-08-23 said:
congratulations on your approval!
SLeon on 2022-08-23 said:
@Worldismine03 Thank you so much! Wishing you the best on your interview! :)
Zee & A on 2022-09-02 said:
Congratulations! How long after the approval did it take you to get your visa in hand?
SLeon on 2022-09-02 said:
@Zee & A my fiancée has not received his visa. The approval paper he received at the interview says on average visas are ready within 2 weeks.
Naz-Awa on 2022-09-21 said:
Hello, idk if you will be able to help me or not. What does packet 3 look like? Is it an email with instructions? Or a link to a website? Or is it something in the mail? My case status changed to ready but I’m not sure what the next step is. Am I suppose to wait on a detailed email or packet in mail?
Raf And Gab on 2022-09-21 said:
I just got an email saying that the visa left NVC and is going to Pakistan. When the embassy from Pakistan calls the beneficiary only then can you make the appointment. We are still waiting.
Naz-Awa on 2022-09-21 said:
Oh. Thanks for your help.
SLeon on 2022-09-21 said:
You will get a email that says the consulate received it. Then you will get a email saying to follow a link to set up an appointment. You will not be able to set up an appointment until you send your DS-160 and pay the fee. My beneficiary did not receive any of these emails. My attorney and I were the only ones receiving them. The fee your beneficiary will need to pay this in Pakistan. Our attorney sent us the specific form for him to take when doing the payment.
Raf And Gab on 2022-09-22 said:
Wow a month later after the interview. That’s crazy. Congrats though!
SLeon on 2022-09-22 said:
Yeah a month after. Keeping my fingers crossed you guys receive your interview soon!
Worldismine03 on 2022-09-23 said:
Congrats on getting the visa! My fiancé his interview is in about 2 weeks I’m actually going to Pakistan to give him support for his interview (from outside). I was hoping to have him come back home with me but seeing that it almost took a whole month to get visa on hand for you makes me worried lol. Is that normal wait for visa on hand? Also how did the interview itself go or the questions?
SLeon on 2022-09-26 said:
@Worldismine03 thank you! My fiancé is in a Facebook forum and it seems that a month is about the normal wait time for a visa others also waited a month for theirs. The interview he was asked simple questions like what does he call me by, where do I live, what do I do for a living, how did we meet, how do we communicate, and how much times we had seen each other. They did want to see engagement photos, photos of our trips together, and our chat logs.
Worldismine03 on 2022-09-30 said:
@sleon thank you for letting me know can’t wait to finally have his interview.
Worldismine03 on 2022-09-30 said:
He just did his medical appointment today
Raf And Gab on 2022-09-30 said:
Can you have the medical appointment without having the interview date...?
SLeon on 2022-09-30 said:
No you cant. The medical asks you for the interview confirmation email
SLeon on 2022-09-30 said:
@Worldismine03 sending you positive vibes for interview ✨✨

Hello,
Did you need the original I-797 (NOA2) for your appointment?
SLeon on 2022-11-29 said:
My fiancé had a copy of it as I was the one who received the original via mail
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
