Hey, have you received anything from the embassy since they received your case? My case was also received by embassy on 1/27/22. And I get to receive anything

No, I have yet to receive anything! After all this wait, I thought we were finally close to get an interview. I'm not 100% sure how we will receive it by mail or email. Anyways I called the US embassy in Haiti about a week ago. I asked them to send it by email, I chose the english line, I'm not sure if that representative was in Haiti or just a general line for the embassy I was told, they are short of staff, they cannot give me an estimate, all I can do is wait! Anyways I'll update my timeline if I get anything. Let me know if you receive anything. Thanks

I’ve called literally twice a week since they received it and always say the same thing. Always some guy who sounds like he’s from a different country. I saw another post on here who has scheduled an interview without receiving any instructions packet.

The website to schedule an interview actually ask if you have receive instructions from the embassy, If you click no then it doesn't let you continue. I'm not really sure what supposed to be in the package, I don't know if it's not a problem to schedule it before receiving the package. For example where to pay for the visa, where to do medical exams, what to bring to the interview. Did you do the DS160 form yet? I did it already after our case was received by the embassy, thinking everything was ready, it's been almost a month nothing.

Next time I'll choose the creole line and hopefully I can speak to someone who's actually at the embassy

I was trying to schedule interview, and every time it got to that question about receiving instructions packet it would kick me back out. So I got in contact with another person on here who case was received also 1/27/22, she scheduled her fiancé interview without that packet. Some how on the website there’s a way around all that. It gives you the info where to pay fee, once fee is paid, using the receipt number, it will allow interview to be scheduled. And from what she is saying. The only thing needed for medical exam, is the passport and interview confirmation. My fiancé is going tomorrow to the location to pay the fee, once he does that, I’ll be able to go online and schedule his interview… my fiancé has called using the creole line, they all say the same thing. Hopefully this way, this other person showed me will work. I’ll keep you updated. Oh and yes I did the DS160 form once I knew embassy received case thinking the same thing you were, and nothing.

ok, Do you know what documents we supposed to bring to the interview, I know we need to bring the DS160 confirmation page. Let me know if that person already did the interview. I want to know if they actually let them have the interview. Thanks

I took a screenshot of the required documents. But it won’t allow me to attach on here. But from what I see, original birth certificate, (death, divorce, marriage also if applicable), birth certificate of children if any even if they aren’t traveling, proof of relationship, police certificate, medical report, updated tax document of petitioner. I read on the main website, they may need passport style picture.

Are we supposed to mail the info of package 3 using DHL? I noticed some people timeline says Package 3 receive, Package 3 sent. Or do we bring them to the interview, I just want to be sure
Sadam & Damarys on 2022-02-24 said:
I have no idea, but I thought they bring that to the interview

Hey have you received any packet 3? Any new update?
CC&S on 2022-03-14 said:
No I haven't still. The only thing when I checked
the NVC website it says case last updated march 8, before that it said last updated January 27. We still missing the extrait Birth certificate. My fiance has applied for 1 for more than a month now and he still hasn't received it. I'm not sure how long it's going to take. I wanted to get everything together 1st.

Hello dear, so far no instructions from embassy after I was told my case was received in Haiti US embassy. but a lot of people schedule their interview once they have all their paperwork together, paid visa fee and medical.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
