Consulate Review: Belgrade, Yugoslavia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Overall a pleasant experience. The security checks are intense and phones and smart watches are not allowed. I went with my fiancé who the consular offices saw and then asked him to take a seat. I was asked a few questions, basics like how did we meet, what does he do for a living, how many times he visited and what I plan to do when I get to the states (I said get my veterinary license which will take me a few years). The only documents they wanted were proof of the payment for the appointment, one 5x5cm picture, police clearance and birth certificate. Documents in Serbian don't need to be translated to English so don't waste your money. Overall would give it an 8/10.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
