Comments : Well they declined to give him a visa on july 15. Apparently my sister answered question 11 incorrectly on the affidavit of support(she is our co-sponsor). They suggested we correct the error and make a new appointment.

Biometrics Taken :
Harassment Level : 5
Comments : There was a woman there who helped him along, and was kind. But there were two men who were pretty rude, one showing the other his passport and saying "we have a special one here, treat him real nice" (with a laugh)The second one, while reviewing the paperwork, actually mumbled the words "stupid bit**". I'm not sure who he was referring to, and neither was my husband. He just kept quiet, answered the questions and hoped to get through. He did ask one of them "Is this how you treat people who come to your country?" He was assured it was all standard protocol and told to wait. The line was long, but once they took his paperwork, he was through in about 40 minutes.

Consulate Review: Algiers, Algeria

Event Description
Review Date : April 17, 2009
Embassy Review : A good experience for the most part. It was disappointing to have to reschedule the interview because of a misunderstanding on the paperwork, but only caused a short delay. They were quick to respond to email inquiries regarding the situation, and provided helpful information. My husband said the interviewer was friendly and there were no problems after the original glitch.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
