My fiancee passed her interview on June 3rd. She met a really nice lady interviewed her. The vietnamese translator was also nice. My fiancee passed her interview on the 3rd of June and got her pink slip on the 10th. I flew to VN on the 11th and just came back yesterday with my honey. Everything went smoothly. Here are the questions from the interview.
1. A really nice American consular lady asked my fiancée in Vietnamese if she knows English. My fiancée answered no; therefore the consular interviewed her in Vietnamese, which was awesome, also a nice Vietnamese lady translator was there the whole time to help out a little a bit.
2. Who’s your petitioner?
3. Is your fiancé Vietnamese? (My last name is Chinese and my first name English, that’s probably why she asked this question) Can he speak and sing Vietnamese? hahahahha
4. How did you and your fiancé get to know each other? Who’s introduced?
5. When did your fiancé come to U.S? Under what program?
6. When was the first time you and your fiancé talk?
7. When was the first time the two of you meet?
8. How many time did he visit you?
9. How did you know your fiancé?
10. How does your friend’s brother know your fiancé?
11. How long does your fiancé know your friend’s brother?
12. Is your friend’s live near your fiancé?
13. Where does your fiancé live? Which state?
14. Which state does your friend live?
15. Did your fiancé know your friend’s brother before the came to U.S?
16. When did your friend come to U.S?
17. How long have you know your friend? Since what year?
18. How come your fiancé didn’t petition for your friend? (the consular mistaken that my fiancée’s friend is still in Vietnam, my fiancée clarified with the consular)
19. What major did your fiancé study?
20. is his degree a 2 or 4 year?
22. Is he continuing his study after graduated?
22. What is his occupation?
23. What is your occupation? Where?
24. Do you have any relative in U.S? Who? And where do they live?
25. Did your relatives know your fiancé before you?
Then she asked for proof of relationship. My fiancee showed our engagement pictures folder then pictures from 2006 folder. My fiancee asked if the consular want to see more proof. She said no and handed my fiancee the pink slip. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
