I have a question I received my NVC notification on 14th Feb 2022 with the assigned case number stating that they have forwarded it to the Islamabad Embassy according to your timeline the consulate received it within 3 days, but the embassy hasn't contacted me at all I find this unusual I also called them and they said they will contact me themself.

@BurgerSb:
Have you submitted the DS-160 form and paid the fee? If you have done that, then the US embassy will notify you for your interview date.
BurgerSb on 2022-03-15 said:
Oh I have just submitted the DS160 and not paid the fees thinking that the embassy will contact me first and tell me to do so
Ziyzo on 2022-03-15 said:
@BurgerSb You must pay the DS-160 fee and then only the US embassy will schedule for your interview.

@ziyzo would you please mention what they asked in the interview?

@BurgerSb
Schedule your interview date for the earliest availability as the wait time now is 3-4 months. Once your interview date is set, you must call and schedule your medical appointment with Aziz Medical Center in Islamabad

Where are your fiance's grandparents from?
Why do you want to get married in the US and not Pakistan?

Congrats! Just saw the approval!
Also would u mind mentioning what your answer was to, "why do you want to get married in the US and not Pakistan"?

@Maz23
Congratulations! There is no right or wrong answer to that particular question but the answer we gave the officer was my fiance's extended family and parents live in the US and for that reason we will have our wedding there so they all can join the ceremony. Also, you MUST say that you will travel to the US to fulfill your 90 day marriage because that is your legal requirement as a K-1 beneficary. They might ask you to give additional evidence to support your intent to marry your fiancé in the US. In our case, we gave the immigration officer a copy of our wedding invitation card and a receipt for the wedding cake order. It just helps to prove your case. I wish you all the best!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
