Filed Form I-129F for K3 visa by paper mail. Case received and notice sent on 22 Oct 2021. Processing in the same centre as primary petition I-130 - Vermont.

Congrats CS! I see your state as CA, and you filed in Texas SC? Is that doable? I'm in the same position as you (residence in CA), i travel to the state of WA often, which is under Nebraska SC. so i'm thinking to file with a Seattle physical address. Thoughts? TIA

@Adil_Nola Thank you! Whether you file online or send the packet (I don't recommend) to a lockbox office - your case will be assigned to a processing centre "at random", not depending on your current state residency or physical presence. They forward cases to different centres in order to "balance out" their processing efficiency. There is no way to have a say in where your case is transferred. And your NOA1 will state one processing centre at the bottom, but from a live agent in Emma bot, you can learn where your case really is at the moment (can get transferred without notice). I'm in CA, NOA1 was from Texas, case was sent to and processed by Vermont.

Hi C&S_21. So I followed your advise, and you were right. I filed I-130 using my California physical address, and I was assigned TSC. Then a day after, my petition got transferred to Potomac SC.
Still not sure if this is a good or bad thing as opposed to staying with TSC. At any rate, I'm planning my next move to file I-129F, I'm just not sure if i should wait another month or send it now.. thoughts?
Thanks again.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
