Event Description

Embassy Review : I was super nervous when i got there, but everyone was so lovely. You go through security and leave personal belongings in a tray, they say on the interview confirmation page that they don't have lockers but they do. I just took in my documents. There is then a long corridor with booths, the first one was B who took my biometrics and told me what to do when i get to the US, we had a lovely conversation and she really calmed me down. I will say, there aren't any seats, its just a long waiting area and you stand in line before getting called to the booth, for some reason I was expecting seats :P The actual interview will take about 5-10mins, my CO was very lovely. You start with an oath that everything you are about to say is true, she then asked me how I met my Fiance, when was the last time i spoke to her, when was the last time i saw her, and if we had any specific wedding plans. The worst part about it was when they type things into the computer and flick through your case in front of you, but it's not a long process. She said they would go ahead and issue the visa, and I would have it by early next week. They didn't ask for any of the documents I brought, but we also front loaded our case with pictures. All in all, pretty quick and pleasant experience
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
