Hello. I was looking at your dates and I'm confused by them. You sent your DS-261 to the NVC in March 2022, and it says the case was NVC complete on May 2022. But you don't have a date for when you received the interview letter or an interview date? Does that mean your case was rejected by the NVC? ... or are you still waiting for an interview?

Hi.
We just got the interview letter the 19th of May. So it took almost a year after being completed and accepted by the NVC to get the interview appointment.

Congratulations and thank you for replying. Sorry it took so long after being DQ'ed to get the interview. I see several others that were only 6 months so not why it took them so long for yours? Did you have an attorney write them after 6 months, or ask your congressman to inquire?
Good luck with the interview! I'm sure its an exciting time ... that took a very long time to get to!

We do have lawyers but to be honest they are pretty useless since they can’t really do anything to accelerate the process, if I had know that there’s a lot of manuals of how to fill the forms, I wouldn’t have hired them.
It took long because we were waiting for the consulate in ciudad Juárez and they had a huge backlog, seems they are starting to work faster though.
Hope your case moves faster, and you get your visa soon! Good luck!

Hoping your interview went well and this arduous process has finally come to a happy ending!

Hi!!
Well I didn’t had the long version of the birth certificate of my husband (the one that says the name of the hospital, and ethnicity of the parents).
So I ended up on administrative process and had to sent the original to the consulate, good thing is they reviewed it fast and got approved. now I’m just waiting for my passport with my visa printed.
So don’t forget the long version of the petitioner birth certificate. We didn’t now about it and cost us some extra days.
Wishing you well with this really draining process!

Thanks for the tip - we will definitely ensure we have the long version! It is definitely a draining process! Hope you get your passport with visa soon!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
