Is this through a marriage with a US citizen?

Hi Diana! My husband had his interview aug 12 and medicals were aug 27. Still waiting on his visa since they claim they’re doing administrative processing. But it will be fine for your case they just have you send your passport to the embassy through a courier service

Hi, we still haven't received passport... they received medical exam and passport September 21st. Nothing yet. I emailed through their website and they says is on additional administrative processing...

Good morning to all. So my question is...
Is this for all cases? I am a U.S citizen and just checking if it is a little more faster for us than for LPR

Hello
My mom had her interview Feb 11 she still needed medical done which was done the following week on the Feb 15 and was told to send her passport after she sent it in the 18th. Does anyone know a time frame on how long the cases are taking to get approved?

Hello Lolly, it takes a month for the embassy to even try to look for your case, but just to let you know that is in process and they let you know if there is an update bla bla. In my case my husband submitted his passport on November 18, and he got his visa issued on December 9. He came to the states on December 13. So it was less than a month for us, but it depends on every case. My cousin is in the same process she already has more than a month waiting. Do you know how to check the visa status and passport? If not please send me a message if you liked so I can send you the link to check. There is nothing you can do at this point, just to wait.

Thank you. I found the link to check. Do you know if you email the embassy the case date gets updated or does it only get updated when they are working on it?
Dianafigueroa1 on 2022-03-09 said:
It doesn't give you an update really, just let you know what u already know and yes it only give you update when they work on it.

You are welcome, hun. I hope everything goes well for you and your mom.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
