Embassy Review : |
My interview was scheduled for 10am on November 5th. I took the train to B
Vauxhall and walked to the embassy (about 15min walk.) I arrived at the entrance at 9.42 and went through security. They asked for my embassy letter and passport. In the building I was stopped by the receptionist, she asked for the same documents and gave me my ticket number. I took the elevator to the first floor and took a left. Immediately upon arriving to the visa window my ticket number showed. The man asked for documents - passport photo, birth cert, acro, affidavit of support, and tax returns. Then I sat down for roughly 10 minutes and was called to have the interview. I met a very friendly american man who took my finger prints and asked me 6 or 7 questions. All very easy to answer if you have a bonafide relationship. I was approved on the spot and that my passport should be returned within a week. It arrived on day 10. |

Timeline Comments: 4Hi Amber - for the birth certificates that you were asked for, was it just yours, or Corbin's, or both that you needed?
Hi Will, they only asked for mine. They would have received his from the package we sent to USCIS. It really varies on what documents they ask for and everyone seems to have a different experience.
Hi! I see that USCIS requested an interview in March 2022 but you weren't approved until December 2022! Was there really that long of a delay on their end? Or did you have to reschedule for personal reasons?
Whoops, sorry, I posted that to the wrong timeline.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
